If im desprate, i will go to a garage to have it "repaired", then fix it myself, or at least check their handywork during my own time. Thats one of the great things about this place, you get good frank advice that costs you nothing. I was going to plug my turbo water hoses due to a leak, but thanks to the advice on here, i will spend one more day on it and save myself blown turbos. Likewise, I (and im no mechanic) thanks to a bit of coaching from mac, mr duff, and tonyc to name but a few managed to do my own waterpump with relative ease. Id recomend anyone with a problem to throw it up in help and advice, this place will save you £££'s

Scrap that, i now believe i have a small leak on the tubby hoses which i think ive sorted, but i have one big massive leak on one of the pipes thats at the rear of the plenum by the bulkhead. I dont know what it is but theres a kinda bell shaped thing behind the plenun and another metal joint by it all which carry water hoses i think, these things are painted red with coolant, and im guessing that water from the tubby hoses wouldnt manage to get there. So ive spent a whole day fookin about and achieved crap all, i'll try again tommorow, by taking the balance bar off and going in that way, see what i can find in there!!! Im about ready to burn the feckin thing, but with all the coolant all over it i doubt it would catch light!!!!

Nick, ive got a reciept in my history for 3 meters of high pressure hose, but that was for a repair, not an install, id say if you got 5 meters you should have more than enough. About time too!!!!

Dont want to start a tecnical war on whether the manual is right or wrong, but i just need some good old fashioned 300zx.co.uk help!! Ever since fitting a new rad ive developed all sorts of leaks, my guess is that now the system is up to full pressure its blowing all the weak hoses. My water hoses at the very back of the engine leak a little when running then gush about half a litre of coolant out about one min after i shut the engine off when its hot. I know the passenger side turbo coolant hose is leaking, which has been replaced but is still not a very easy job to tighten even with my small hands. So can i safely bypass these hoses from the top end behind the balance bar or will this make the tubs get too hot? All help appreciated. Disclamer; I will not and do not intend to sue/slag off/beat up anyone offering a solution to this!!!! Cheers.
