  1. Regtransferes wont shift it had my taz plate on it for 2 years. When you put the reg on retention your car automatically gets another reg assigned. Hope this has helped you.
  2. Yes i bought one from him a blue one reg F217 UJN he gave me a 3 year warranty with warranty holdings on hooky paparwork, The auto box blew, the car shook like fook over 40mph, warranty holdings had never heard of him I bought it from a unit in the rough bit of Nottingham, i was daft and naieve, the car was even registered as red FFS!!! Luckily i payed by building society cheque so i had a name, so i got a "contact" of mine to check the electoral register for all the sahills in Nottingham when i arrived at Lynette close to find imports everywhere i knew i had my man. He wisely paid up, just as well cos if he hadnt id of put it through his window
  3. Apparently it is better than optimax. All it actually is is 95 ron with a 5% mix of some sort of ehanol that burns better thus the higher octane rating. Theres a bit about it in this months Banzai mag, they are doing a full review next month should make good reading, till ive seen it tested, and till i find some im sticking to optimax. But you cant get it up here yet, its only down south at the mo.
  4. Congrats old man, 9 months older than me. When you were being born, my mum and dad were f*cking!!!!!
  5. Geekey, you need to get a V778/1 application to put a registration on retention cert, this will cost you £105 with dvla £25 for the retention, which lasts a year, and £80 transfer fee. You will also once you have the retention document, and wish to transfer the plate to another owner have a nominee put on the form (so that they can apply it to their car) this will cost you a further £25. So your looking at £130 to get it ready for sale. Your better off doing this first as it will fetch a better price on ebay if its all ready to go, then simply put the P&p costs at £25 to cover the nominee fee. Your car is normally re assingned its previous plate, but dvla cannot assure this and sometime the car is given a new plate appropriate to its year.
  6. If i make Jae this year i wont be doing any heavy lifting. Macca cant chuck a man in a pool with a new born baby in his arms!!!
  7. yep he's the one, i do know him very dodgy fella stay away, users the name james beer wont give out to much info I can give out more information, the last known address i had on him was lynette close by the porsche garage in nottingham, which is where i called him from and gave him the choice of having the car left in his front room or meet me and give me my money back, he wisely refunded me.
  8. can you give me some info about sahill motors in notts as i might know the actual person Matty is no longer on here, hes got a rover coupe now!!!! Sahill in Nottingham nearly screwed me out of £4k. Young indian fella calling himself James or Andy or some other similar english name, trading as gold imports amongst others.
  9. You should find the wire on the inside of the tailgate under the plastic i hope. Good luck.
  10. Same for me........... ......Untill i fitted a boost controller, now its spinney arse end again!!!!
  11. This dealer seems to have had bad press on this forum before. My advice is dont buy, if theyve got it up for £4500 you can bet theyve paid about £2,000 for it, thats how they make their money. If your buying out of the Autotrader, buy private. Or buy one off here.
  12. Im on around 14 low and 16 hi, but normally use it in low on the roads. Caused me no probs.
  13. Is it an automatic or a manual Ie do you change the gears with a stick or does it do it itself.
  14. Might be time for new discs. Try running over them with some coarse wet n dry first, see if theyve picked up some squeaky stuff.
  15. Try and take it for a longer test drive, get it up to 80 ish and check for vibrations. Also after switching it off take 5 or 10 mins to look round it, make sure theres no leaks. If its an auto and only just imported make sure you get an autobox cooler fitted, if not the box will cook in weeks. If its not had a documented cambelt change you can use this as a bargaining tool, as you will need to have one done and they cost around 400 quid. Im not familiar with Birmingham import centre, I have heard of one or two dodgy dealers in Birmingham but they change their name quite often so quite hard to keep track of. This might sound a bit cryptic, but as a general rule dont buy from Birmingham dealers if they have a gravel drive. A search on gravel drive should tell you why. Good luck bud.
  16. Where you getting it from, you know the sellers name, dealers name, area, reg etc?
  17. I knew you'd be back Tony. Well done, someone decent to see at meets, ive been having to talk to the fat gimp in the wheelchair so it will be nice to have some interesting coversation!!!!!! At the Bubble on the 29th I hope???
  18. Cant find a pic of them all in situ, even searching the net i cant find any, probably a bitch to get a camera in to such a small space to take a picture.
  19. Not a great quality pic but this is a pic of the kit I'll try and find a pic of them in situ too
  20. Just a metal bearing

If you keep it stock you can have mpg in the high 20's. Fit a boost controller and it will drop below 20 for sure. I use mine as a daily drive for 2 years, and it cost me about 2k a year in sevicing and repairs. Now its a 2nd car those cost have come right down. Main things to check for is big vibrations, smokey exhausts, and mainly water leaks, take the car for a good run then turn it off and look over it for 5 to 10 mins, these cars are 15 years old and most of the water pipes are on their last legs, replacing them is not so much expensive as time consuming and will cost in labour time if doe in a garage. If its an auto import check its had an autobox cooler fitted, if not the box will cook pretty quick at highish speeds. Best bet is get someone off here to have a look at it with you, or get the reg of any you like or post pics on here and see if you can dig up any history on it, theres alot of knowledge floating around on here.
  23. Think what they mean is get an OEM kit Which is Timing belt, tensioner and both idlers. Upto you what you buy bud, i dont make on these, i can get them through my work, yes ive got one on my car and i inspected the kit and found it to be top quality.
  24. Well i sell hundreds of gates belts a month and have never seen a single warranty claim for one. They also make most OEM belts for the manufacturers, i'll look into it tomorrow, ill p1ss myself if it turns out they make Nissans.
  25. Speedmon, your going to need this place with the work your planning on your zed. I remember doing my waterpump for the 1st time, and when i got stuck at the pulley wheel i gave macca a bell, then duffer and he spent best part of an hour talking me through what to do, and i'd never even met the guy at the time!! Theres some really helpful bods on here
