  1. You may get out of the countryk..... But without a passport you may have trouble getting back in. Go on risk it!!!......Whats the worst that can happen!!!
  2. 1st a lesson in PLURALS. Its DECATS not DECAT, as there are 2!!!! Its UNDERDRIVE PULLEY, not UNDERDRIVE PULLEYS, as theres only one of them!!! As for the chip, you'll need someone else to do that unless you have your own eprom programmer and know how to write all the codes. So i guess by "the rest of the service" you mean an oil and coolant change, and maybe the aux belts (power steering, air con, and alternator, in case you didnt know!) ....Hmmm i'd get some help doing it if i were you!!
  3. Thought you said yours was due now?? Yet it was changed 3 months ago??? Have you done 20k a year???? Or do you just not know what you are talking about?????
  4. The only performance increase is that you dare floor it without it blowing up!!!! I was very impressed to see the state of the old belt, no cracks or signs of real wear, one of the old idlers was noisy though, so i have noticed a much quieter engine when cold, which i suppose makes sense.
  5. Just got my car back from its 60k service, well cambelt kit and aux belts ( I do my own fluid changes) but simply didnt have the time or the bravery for the cambelt job. I can now floor the car with cofidence, not worrying that the belt may break, despite very strict servicing intervals, had its first cambelt at 80,000km and this one at 154,000km (approx 90,000 miles). Best thing about it was the cost, I got the whole lot done for about £250, and didnt have to get my hands dirty! Just need to change my oil this weekend (even though the last one was about 1,000 miles ago! and she'll be all ready to sit in the garage for the rest of the winter!!!!)
  6. If i were you id call a leather sofa specialist, it sounds daft but one of hayleys friends slept on our cream leather sofa with a patterned belt on and managed to do horrendous damage to it. I called a firm out who came to the house and with the right blend of chemical cleaners and waxes made it good as new, cost me £40 and saved me a grand!! They told me they can do the same to cars, jackets, basically anything leather. They also told me most of the damage that is done to leather is done by people trying to remove marks with the wrong stuff.
  7. If these are the ones on ebay, with a buy it now of about a fiver, seller called uk bulb co, i say buy them, i got 3 sets and they are very good, they emit a grey/ blue light is the only way i can describe it, giving the car a much newer appearance. id rate them 10 out of 10 for value for money.

  9. I gor very worried when i got back from Bruntingthorpe and found a mass of oil all over the garage floor under the back of the car, as it was red i guessed id popped a hicas line. But it turned out to be a bottle of atf i keep in the polystyrene tray in the boot had split, thus filling the spare wheel well with atf and it dripping out of the drain plug!!!!
  10. Ive done half the engine on mine............ .........its took me 2 1/2 years so far.
  11. Pirtec, are just down the road from my work, but if its just jubilee clips you need let me know what size diameter.
  12. Mine had a bit of a tick to it, so i switched from castrol rs10-60 to valvoline fully syn 5-50 and problem solved.
  13. i got a price on one from renault, decided it would be a costly experement!!!
  14. What size? Boost hose size? I got loads at work.
  15. Still comes up on the member list. Happy whoring everyone!!!!
  16. Not drove mine for younks, had a quick spin in it a week ago, but i didnt leve the estate as i didnt want to go on the salty roads. So its more or less sat in the garange for the past 6 weeks, i better go check its still there!
  17. Mine has cost me over £21k at last count, but that includes petrol, tax insurance the lot. For the car and service maintenance and mods it stood me £9k at last count about 6 months ago. Worked out it cost me 30p a mile just to run it including sevicing tyres etc. If you work out the total cost including purchase price petrol tax and insurance etc its 50p a mile. Thats based on 3 years of ownership, but woiuldnt change it for anything.
  18. Online quotes for zeds especially imports, is a bit of a nightmare. My first zed was an F plate, Tesco car insurance tried to insure it as a z31, i finally persuaded them it was a z32 and they upped the premium and the new policy came through as a z32 uk model, i had to call em again shell out more cash to get it put down as an import. I got a new policy telling me to fit a tracker as i wasnt covered if it got knicked! No point lying/ not telling the insurers anything as theyll just use it against you if you need to claim. Also the online quotes only give the details that dvla hold on the car, which on the whole arent very accurate. Glad im with Houghtons now!!
  19. some people like to keep cars stock but have had enough of wogan, trust me put it up for £20 someone will want it.
  20. It can be wired to the inner brake lights Or you can hide a fold down one under your rear bumper. If you do a search there should be loads of methods.
  21. Profec e01, doesnt fit anywhere, you have to bung it on the dashboard, but it looks great, and makes it go faster.
  22. How long have you had the car? The matrix hasnt been bypassed prior to you buying it has it?
  23. Id guess youd get £20 for it if you put it on here
  24. I had this, i diagnosed it as the near side tension rod bush creaking, so i lubed mine up, and there was no more noise, i bought another one which i have yet to fit, but the noise hasnt come back yet so i havent had to fit it yet.
