Id say its probably speed converter/ defender little box behind the speedo on alot of J specs, if its a UK spec probably the speedo itself as they dont have these i believe. Dont think its the speed sensor on the gearbox as a tap on the dash wouldnt fix it if it was. Good luck I spent two hours under mine on Sunday (and two phone calls to Macca) in the end a wire had come off and i had great fun reattaching it!!

CullyZ, I cant get the cutches, but i can get the pads (stock type) as i work at QH at around about £20 for the set (front and rear), ive put some fronts on mine and theyre dead same as stock. I might be asking questions that have been answerew before but if it a vacum in the tank why does it blow when you open it and not suck??? Sureley it pressurised air, the opposite of a vacum:confused: (I somehow think AndyP is going to be right on this, as his tech experience is going to be much vaster than mine!!)

Tony, the main fan runs continuously, but i think you mean the auxillary electic fan, as this is the noisey one. Very possible your temp sensor is loose if you pop the bonnet start it then give it a waggle to see if it stops, most people replace them with a new clip, mines got a cable tie wrapped tightly round it for now!!! Has your tickover risen a bit too??
