  1. Waste of a slicktop I would say, but still more rigid and lighter than t-tops I suppose.
  2. Yeah I've heard good things about Autoline classic, even for cars like this. AXA pretty much told me to **** off and come back when I'm 30, though that was for a normal policy on a Z. They covered my dad on it for no extra cost. They're gobshites though in fairness - gave my missus the cheapest quote by a longshot on a provisional license, but wanted to double to price to add me, while I'm driving a Z myself and already named on another AXA policy for free! Where are you in Dublin? I'm in D15. Not too many of us!
  3. Perfectly eligible then if you can get past their bullshit. Try Autoline or AXA for classic.
  4. Quotes in Britain aren't really applicable here. Sadly, our system is even worse.
  5. I was thinking you could go over, but if that's the case then that's probably not an option either  Best of luck then!
  6. Is there enough room on the passenger side to get the top off even?
  7. How old are you and the car? Anecdotally I've heard that Autoline will do a classic policy in RoI once the car is 15 years old, but they may still say it doesn't qualify if it's a Jap import :glare: You'll most likely need to be over 25 for any classic policy, and most require the car to be over 20 years old. I'm with ARB through First Ireland but the premium is ridiculous (about €3,300). The cost difference in insuring TT vs NA is insignificant, but an Irish car would probably be a lot cheaper (good luck finding one).
  8. 07/01/2016 - 1995 Z32 version S
  9. They're not the only two if you've seen Facebook over the last few days
  10. Auctions are still a bit slow this week. Wouldn't buy a car below grade 3.5/4 personally.
  11. Saw that not long ago... Strange that they took the old-style headlights then they did the Diablo facelift in '99.
  12. I'm not against engine swaps, but RB26DETT versus VG30DETT just doesn't seem worth it. You get more space to work, but that engine has its own problems too. Like oil starvation under heavy cornering, or so I've heard. Also it's usually an RB25 rather than RB26.
  13. RB swap seems quite common in the US.
  14. Well then I'm confused. If it's the last part that's of interest as you say, why is 10W30 fine for normal environments but 5W30 isn't?
  15. 10W30 is really hard to find, so I used 10W40 last time and 5W30 this time.
  16. The minimum viscosity. Service manual says not to use 5W for TTs, but as you said that's probably fine for this season in this part of the world.
  17. In fairness I'm sure the average Z32 is a lot more reliable than any TVR! Is that this month's issue yeah?
  18. It's too thin for a TT but should be fine for NA. Couldn't get 10W30 or 10W40.
  19. A couple of years ago there was one very similar to what you describe on eBay for precisely £10,000. Probably worth a bit more now. If it's been serviced and doesn't need any recommissioning, I would certainly pay that for it.
  20. Changed oil today without filter. 5L of Mobil 3000 5W30 for €25 wasn't bad! Also this week: differential drained and refilled, and new rear speakers fitted. That's about it until major service in a few months, and changing brake fluid at some point.
  21. Well really that was 2014... Funny how Americans don't acknowledge its existence beyond their market! Good article though.
  22. Fitted now as my dad was able to stick them into the frame which he hacked out of the old speakers. Pretty good speakers for €55 (Phoenix Gold Z46CX), but I wouldn't buy again from a company that would blatantly lie like that...
  23. Must read that. The Heroin Diaries (Nikki Sixx) was really good too.
