  1. Thanks Jack :) You cant plan for every eventuality....just do your best when it does happen tho. Its a shame that some peeps have to resort to hurling abuse at others.
  2. As I said earlier if you'd have actually read the whole thread you would have seen the part where it says about the curve in the road and the fact that I slowed down and moved over and avoided any collision. you obviously didnt/couldnt read that bit.
  3. I would also like to add that when I wrote the thread it was just after witnessing the whole thing  So I may have been a little harsh....so what! Anyone would have been in the same situation. Dont get me wrong I didnt WANT to see what I did but it happened. It would have still happened had I not been there!!! I sincerely hope that the woman recovers 110%, I wouldnt wish that on anyone. However, having seen it all, I still think stopping like that was a severe error in judgement which could have cost her life and others....so I stand by my comments about retesting/banning for anyone making that bad an error. Its not like I want her sent to prison...its just a retest!!! Like I sais b4...if it was a chav...different story.
  4. You obvioulsly didnt get laid last night :xxx: Dont worry you can pick your dummy up later  If you were there and witnessed it I would consider some of your points BUT seeing as you weren't and obviously haven't read the whole thread.. You would see that I was not involved, I was behind an accident  Bloody keyboard ninjas :smash: :smash: :smash:
  5. If you havent done any body work before bud.....its better to get something to practice on 1st besides your zed. Me and rainbowztt (paul) completely stripped my car, de locked & delined the whole car. I then fitted a body kit that I modified quite a lot. I even had to make the lleading 1/3 of the rear wheel arch that come up from the skirts - I wanted a completely lineless and smooth zed. It was a LOT of work. You cant do it in a day :) Also because the doors etc are curved all over...if you botch anything its very easy to see. Paul and myself then set about spraying my motor. you have to take a lot of trim off to do the job properly. My advice if you havent done this sort of thing before...let some one else do it. If you mess it up it will cost more trying to sort it out. If however your meticulous and not in a hurry then get stuck in, I enjoyed doing mine :)
  6. No dont cut fibre glass into anything :) If you use a fibre glass filler it will be ready to use, dont overdo the build up with the fibreglass filler, its hard to sand and the metal on the doors is quite flexible and you may get distorted areas. Also make sure you get the hardener mixed properly you dont want soft spots. Plus...dont mix up too much in one go it goes off pretty quick and you dont want tons of it glooped all over the car...like I said its a lot harder to sand down than regular filler. Once you have the FG filler nearly at the correct level you can switch to a regular filler to finish off nice and smooth. Also remember that filler will absorb the first coats of primer. After FG filler work I would go over with a spray primer filler, then a regular primer.
  7. I completely de-lined my zed with the help of rainbowztt bud. When you get to the soft chip protection layer on the metal work below the lines on the zed, best thing to use is a drill with a wire brush on it. Dont be tempted to spray it with a primer filler. Get it back to the metal then use fibreglass filler to remove the lines. then do your priming work. It does take some time to get the soft stuff off but its worth it in the end. As for the rear bumper a filler will prob be the best bet, I just took mine off and chopped it up n threw it away n fitted a diff rear bumper :) I did de-locked the doors as well, just take the handles apart, remove the lock barrel that you dont want and then fill with fibre glass filler, clean it up the finish off with regular filler, then you're readu for priming n painting.
  8. Ive got one of those too bud, but mines a trouser python and I keep it safely stored in my trousers tho
  9. Thats exactly What I was going to do bud :) Get a comprehensive list and pics together of all the parts and then produce a step by step haynes type manual so other peeps could tackle the job at home etc. I was up in Dundee a couple of years ago, I was a sponsor of the Dundee Guitar Festival  Love the statues in the town :) Drove all the way from Kent :wack:
  10. work??????   Who's he kiddin :)
  11. Bugger.........ive been rumbled :)
  12. I really hope it gets sorted out soon. Otherwise I'll send the boys round
  13. I agree speedy, There seems to be a very unsavoury element to this club at the moment which is very disappointing  Ive noticed the same thing going off in other threads on this forum - its no wonder so many peeps have gone elsewhere :( Can smell a revolution in the air?
  14. Ive already joined the 'great' club bud :headvswal Steve - you'll find this club is full of peeps who cant wait to jump on the bandwagon and get stuck into someone elses personal affairs - and yes you tend to be found guilty by the mob instantly...its because your not part of the 'elite' my freind. Dont get me wrong there are plenty of level headed peeps on here that talk sense. Petrolhead - i agree that issues like this need to be in the open but when it becomes afree for all to take a pop at steve then I defo side with Mr Duffy - close the thread and put a stop to mindless slanging matches from non-involved parties. I think this club had better start thinking about an area where members can air there greivances without reprisals from the mob :(
  15. Are you sure thats the latest of the cutbacks? I thought they'd shed even more jobs and had to cut back even more :)
  16. Funny thing is I dont remember seeing any zeds out there that night. But they sure as hell talk as if they were. I dont mind sensible comments, it just the self righteous bullsh*t that I get sick of. Rant over....I'll let them go polish their halo's :)
  17. Allo duffy, As you can tell its CSI forum here  all the experts are out of the sofas now and on a PC :wack: It must be nice for other 300zx drivers being so....well....omnipotent  And be able to look down on others as 'master of the road'.....lucky for me I dont give a crap  Like I said duffs, If i was in my zed and it was a chav.....it would be a different thread and everyone (almost) would be pleased no doubt....they cant hide the other threads on the forum that give it all away!!! Now they'll be wanting me to find quotes lol.
  18. There was no queues cos me and the saab got our cars well off the road and the fiesta was shunted up the embankment. The saab driver was not driving badly at all, I think he was taken by suprise more than anything. I admit he could have been more observant of the road and could have avoided the fiesta as Im sure I would have. With hindsight tho....he was in a position to avoid her...maybe! If she had genuinely broken down then theres not a lot she could have done either. Unless you were there you cannot beleive how quickly it all happened A series of very unfortunate events.
  19. The Jihad mobile was in active service at the time...area 51.....say no more
  20. My sentiments exactly bud.
  21. they're ganging up on me bud  Lucky I have a very quick zed so I can make a fast getaway in the rain (up to the speed limit minus 10 - 30 mph depending on conditions). Lucky I didnt actually witness 9/11 cos Id get the blame for that too
  22. Exaclty vinni, What I posted about was that no matter what or how we drive its the unexpected thats catches us out. I did slow up which helped, the whole incident was a suprise for me tho. As for speed limit...the problem there lies with the other cars/trucks that came past....as we all know they sit right on your bumper. I dont know about you lot but i was doing the same speed as most traffic along there. The last thing I wanted was a truck up my pipe....which unfortunately happens everywhere. Should I have gone slower, maybe.....but not likely with the trucks that were going along there. I drive the A19 regularly and quite a few truckers get real close, so I generally keep pace with the traffic. I cant beleive any of you would have deliberately gone slower in the situation.....even though you may say you would have. The fact remains that driving these days is very unpredictable and I just wanted to point out how suddenly these events can happens. This one was start to finish in a few seconds....... Im just glad that no one was killed.
  23. I agree with you nick. I know I wasnt involved in the accident......I just ran over some bits that punctured my tyre. I just happened to observe an accident from behind. I cant see how I was the cause of it because I was behind everyone and avoided any collision  I repeat I DID NOT CRASH, I WAS BEHIND A CAR THAT CRASHED INTO ANOTHER As I said I had kept my distance from the saab driver cos of spray etc but to find a car in front of you stationary kinda takes you by suprise. As im sure nick would be able to testify..its in those moments that actual reaction time is lost as the brain tries to work out what to do.....obviously the saab driver was not driving with due care and attention because he hit the other car. But I was there and to find a car in your way is a shock, i was paying attention to the situation so I didnt hit anyone. But I count myself lucky....Im sure if I was doing 50 it would have been a very close call.....but then I would have had all the tw@ts that like driving up others exhausts behind me. I repeat - I missed hitting anyone cos I slowed down and moved over ahead of time.
  24. The Saab crashed into the fiesta. I didnt cos I saw the other car, reduced speed etc etc etc etc etc. :headvswal Im ok Woman ok I hope Saab driver....shaken End of....
