If anything check the TPS voltage, it should be 0.46v In my auto that caused the box to feel like it had failed, no shifting etc. The autobox diagnostic as mentioned above is your next port of call.

In terms of handling mine was just lowered but it slid so nicely, very controlled skidding as well. I do miss it
