New Phillips TV - 56inch 21:9 ratio!
I SO want one of these, 21:9 ratio so exactly the same ratio as the cinema screen so no more black blocks at the top and bottom of the screen :hyper: Plus it's got ambi light so it shines coloured lights onto the walls that match the picture to give a better viewing experience. And the price for such telly watching pleasure? £3500  not bad i guess for something that size and quality

Harneses in a 2+2
Ahh very true :D

Harneses in a 2+2
I never liked the harnesses as safe as they should have felt they never felt right to be hence i went back to series 1 door cards and standard belts. To keep the rear seats in they are the only two places you can attach the belts unfortunately. The top three point harness holes hidden behind the facia are the safest places to bolt and still fit people in the back as far as i'm aware. Up high and pretty straight but ideally as stated you need a rear strut brace to get them dead centre and the right height

Gutting the Interior (saving weight)

Gutting the Interior (saving weight)
Battery in the boot is the best option, spare out and carry some tyre weld (i've never been stopped on the fact the spare was missing by anyone including in its mot) Change the seats for lightweight, with the seats out and the carbon bucket seat and manual seat frame in place the car handled like an elise. Those seats do weigh and absolute tonne. I also took the time to fill all cavities with expanding foam which seemed to make the car very slightly quieter and very slightly stiffer without adding much weight. All the panels might as well be left in as with the carpet. The stripped out feel is great for about a week then after that you crave a bit of civilisation :D

Harneses in a 2+2
I've had harnesses (up until the mot when they told me they had to go) I used a couple of places really but not were ideal for people in the back. There's two places best for mounting them up: - cut out the covers over the rear three point seatbelt holes up behind the rear quarter windows, best place for getting a straight line at the back of the harness but cuts out people's headroom in the back and you have to unclip them to let people in - bolt them into the centre where the clips go for the rear lap belts which means people can still get in out of the back without having the unclip and reclip the harness back in place

Back to Earth
Whenever a innovative and funny comedy series with razor sharp one liners and ridiculous story lines comes back missing 1 (2?) of the lead characters (holly) you know somehow deep down this isn't going to be the best return to form. The red dwarfs we know and love were only really amazingly funny when Grant and Naylor were writing together. Apparently they were both involved but only naylor was writing this time - shame :( The first 2 episodes were truly, diabolically dreadful and highly disappointing the first of which didn't even raise a titter from me and i'm easily amused. The blade runner references were funny for someone who knows their films but didn't really save it falling flat on its face. The 3rd for me was truly genius in some bits and reminded me of the good old days, plus the blade runner references worked especially the part where i recognised the Tyrell building on the london skyline which made me laugh out loud. Still not as good as the old days but better than the first two put together. The question remains though, why did they have to rely on a spoof to make it funny? Couldn't they just resolve their differences and write these last 3 episodes together as a final tribute to all the long standing fans of the show and finish it properly. The last two episodes disappointed me greatly, the 3rd was better and took away the bitter taste left in my mouth after the start but still left me thinking why did they bother?

Red Dwarf returning to our screens!
Well i'm not saying it made up for the rest but the 3rd was the best of the 3. It wasn't great but i actually laughed at this one, still wish they'd had a laughter track but at least it picked up at the end. R.I.P. Red Dwarf
