  1. Yep, same here. FIrst film i've seen in ages with tons of build up and not disappointed me :D
  2. Excellent, just picked up the curry, some cobras and some mango chutney and watching both episodes back to back along with the fringe season finale :hyper:
  3. I thought it was great, not a piss take of the original, doesn't try to be the original but keeps all the good bits including the characters
  4. Just on my way home..... :hyper:
  5. "Nick's finished crying into his sleeve and is off to bed"
  6. Cheers mate, i'll keep my fingers crossed that's all it is!
  7. Cheers buddy, it's pissing water out the back like there's no tomorrow. Going to try and see if it's a pipe tomorrow night with the bonnet off and hopefully make it to japfest but have a feeling it's a little bit more serious than that :(
  8. $220!!!!!!! Jesus that's horrific! :hurl:
  9. Has anyone got a picture of the back of an NA block so I can see where the water pipes are?
  10. Well looking very much like i'll be zedless for this weekend dammit :( Pissing water out the back of the block after overheating last night so a little more than a night's work and crap working conditions unfortunately with living on a pebble driveway SO if anyone wants any last minute tickets for japfest I have two for sale
  11. pmsl  Well i've got my bro coming round tomorrow night to watch the season finale of lost and fringe with curry, crack open the beers!!!! :hyper:
  12. I know the origins of the company and i know the mechanic is fully trained and very skilled and i would trust them with my zed
  13. haha that'd be me, the silver zed is buggered :( the thermostat was jammed closed so overheated, changed it today and now it's leaking out the back in a stream :headvswal
  14. Simple fix that if it is just the TPS, classic problem
  15. "old-skool" any better? :D
  16. Good to see an old name back on here, welcome back buddy :D
  17. pmsl  I used to see that driving round when i was at uni, i'm sure i have a photo somewhere :D
  18. Thanks guys, i feel like i've done ten rounds against tyson today. I ache everywhere but nice to read such nice complements :) Fingers crossed i'll get the engine built by the beginning of June and the car on the road for July. I had a feeling you were going to say something like that lol Why are they any different from the other 6? My thoughts were that the inlet and exhaust open and close at exactly the same timing as each other? Lol, I think this is the one and only V8 conversion i'll be doing in my lifetime but you're more than welcome to see how i've one it and copy and paste :) After all any chevy small block will fit in it's just what you do to it that makes it from 250-750bhp :)
  19. Very very excited mate, it's all i can think about at the moment - sad i know  Cheers buddy, as always i'll keep you lot up to speed :)
  20. Cheers Chris, well plan is after i get back form japfest and santa pod next weekend i'll be putting the pistons and con rods in and starting the grinding as well as degreeing the cam to make sure everything fits then the next week i'll commute from my parents where the engine is and slowly clean and reassemble it ready for gapping the piston rings. Bank holiday weekend i'll spend three days straight and get the whole engine finished, sealed, tappets and rockers adjusted then order the final bit - the push rods then i'm done and ready to start it up for the first time :D
  21. Cheers buddy, I love it, can't wait to see it in situe again all painted up and the shiny bits on it :hyper:
  22. lol, the engine's upside down for starters so that won't help  I'm just test fitting, the crank and pistons first to make sure the engine rotates correctly without fouling anything then once thats done i'll blast all the metal filings out, grease it then we're ready to put the nice shiny heads on set up the tuning bits and bobs :D
  23. And a rotated view of the engine: Sump back on ready for storage till i get back next weekend:
  24. Better picture of the cloyes billet timing gear, not cheap but very nice setup: Overhead view of the base of the engine:
  25. Camshaft goes in: We moved everything to cylinder one to find the highest point to check the cam against and test fitted the timing gear: Luckily although it's not a small base diameter cam it clears perfectly with base timing. A few tests to do but should be fine throughout. It is incredibly close in there though!
