Project V8 update - June
Cheers mate, there's more work than i hoped there would be but all in all i haven't really spent that much time on it it's a case of saving the pennies to buy the bits in so i could make a start. Nearly there now, last shopping trip for the big stuff goes on next week for the top end gear (rockers/lifters/pushrods) then we're done and ready for the full engine build!

Project V8 update - June
Sorry guys, wanted to post up a bit more about what's been going on. Just had a run of bad luck really :( Firstly the belt broke on the compressor and i've been chasing around to find a replacement but unfortunately to no avail so going to have to buy a new compressor which has held me back a bit so i could clean the block ready to pop it in the car. Also managed to scratch two of the main journal bearings so have to replace the whole set at a cost of £80. So all in all £200 out of nowhere. In the meantime i've been busy restoring the paintowrk on the front wing and door and tonight fitted the new 99 spec lights which look much MUCH better :)

Why? is the 300zx manual gearbox so crap?
Is the stock zed box really more capable? Are there any figures on the torque it takes? T56 would be nice, i did think about that for the chevy but the 500 came up first for a very good price so decided it would be a bit more hardy than the T5

Why? is the 300zx manual gearbox so crap?
Just get a Tremek TK500 and make a bellhousing adapter. It takes 500 ft/lb of torque and they're about 2.5-3k that's what i'm using on the V8 and not heard a bad thing about them

dipones sig
Found a solution: Use firefox instead of internet explorer then when the page loads hit the esc key and this stops all animated gifs. TA-DA no more animation slowing you down! :hyper:

A lovely pearl wide arch - step up and take credit Tariq!
He said he'd had them made here by someone but not too sure who it was. Just been following that thread, christ it's taken me twenty mins just to get there. I will definately be ordering a set for the V8 :D
