Noz yeh i did read that somewhere what ws really after was if there would be a benefit using external waste gate with stock turbo's on a mildish tuned engine say running 430 450 ish

so unless your upgrading to bigger turbo's and your internals its pretty pointless then yeh

So I was reading that fitting an external wastegate helps provide steady boost control at any pressure level and makes it easier to control and set a more precise and constant boost level thus helping with less lag throughout the range is this correct.

My most recent car had them and I was going to have them fitted to my new one but after what Noz has said and explained very well I am having second and third thoughts sorry to hijack thread a bit but seems there so many technically minded people posting on here can someone explain the benefits of external waste gates?.. and when and why would you fit or not?.

Spent a fair few hours stripping N/a back end and burning,drilling pulling hammering bushes out first time for me best way can describe is was like a very long car journey kids in the back screaming and you think your nearly there then you hit traffic lol. I am now left with some sticky residue where bushes were any tips on what to use to get this as clean as possible

its not too bad if u squint both eyes and face the other direction lol

My car came with AB Flug Bovs, not only did they sound like scania air brakes but they made it run like a pig. I have driven David1846291's car and that had 2 bailey valves I think. They squeaked a bit but weren't quite the need for speed spaceship noises you may be after, but it ran absolutely fine Be nice if you could type my name right tom its not like its difficult tom az északi anyway as tom said my car did have dump valves and ran with no issues at all and to be honest I quite like the sound too but could live without it with a nice note from the exhaust as my car did sound like a sick aeroplane cruising up the motorway headaches all round i think it was lol

long and short that partic car is too expensive but if it sells and more keep selling at higher prices will mean we won't have problems getting agreed values on our own cars which we have spent fortunes on and sold limbs to fund :)
