  1. My missus gets well pi$$ed off with me and my car. I just tell her, at least im spending time on my car at home and not somewhere else with someone else.
  2. I know a lot of people have changed the nuts and bolts for nice clean shiny ones, but has anyone here ever made a list of all the sizes of them that they would be willing to share on here?. Am now onto the stage of rebuilding the top end and would like to fit as many nice clean bolts to keep it looking as nice as i can, so any help on this would be hugely appreciated.
  3. Can someone please advise on the correct size and where best to get all the belts for the vg30dett engine. please bear in mind i cant be spending a morgage on them at the minute, lol. Also need the water thermostat valve( already got one but would prefer to fit a new one) My crank pulley is a lightened one and water pulley is from a import. Thankyou.
  4. Would just like to say a big thankyou to kinugawa for a superfast delivery and very easy transaction in my purchase of a tt engine. Was delivered in under 24hrs from london to doncaster. And when i stripped it down found it to have been bored out with oversize forged pistons :-).
  5. Just say it mate. Its south west z. Aka locking garage services.
  6. Am rebuilding my engine and need some advice on torque settings. Does anyone have any lists(or guides) there can put on here on as many torque settings as possible to affix both heads, lower plenum, water pipes and oil filter housing. thankyou to anyone that can help.
  7. I had this problem with a 58plate 311cdi. Turned out that even tho injectors came up as been fine, once they were replaced it ran perfect again. Similar symptoms to yours, only mine was mainly when setting off(usually at most incovenient times). It had no power at all and then burst back into life. Try and borrow a different set of injectors and see if it helps. Then if it doea you know what you need.
  8. This idea was rejected a number of yrs ago, as it was decided it would be unfair to basically pay for a single member to have a paid for modified zx and no other members would ever have the chance of using it. Plus even with 25k+ in the funds, to make it a show winning zx it would require a substantiol amount more than that.
  9. Maybe could put the funds to good use through each REO supplied with a gazebo to use for events in there area. That way more events could be attended across the region when there is a weekend event on i.e. totb at elvington, a club stand could be there with discounted tickets for members.
  10. I hope this thread is allowed to stay. Ive been a member on here since 2005 and i agree that over the years it has got less member friendly for opinions. There were alot of comments removed fron the JAE improvement ideas thread, mine included when there was no reasonable justification for it. I would like to see a modernisation of how the club is progressing becouse it is for the most part a great place. But there is imo a certain moderator who is too heavy handed for my liking and i now know of 5ppl who feels the same. hope it can get sorted and get this place back to how it was in the good days.
  11. thankyou. Will be at work till 10pm tho as im on afters all week.
  12. Jeff advised me to talk to you about some help for some engine parts. Could you give me a call on 07506799816 please and i will ring you back. Cheers Dave.
  13. The only ptoblem with wide kits like that one is that it makes the door look plain and very flat.
  14. jeff did you get this car?.
  15. The man sure knows what hes doing.
  16. If you can get someone competent with metal then even doing the floor pan is possible. I had to do some of the floor on mine as well as sills both side, front to back. If you can get a mobile welder to come do it for you thrn the cost is halved. the metal to replace it is cheap, for all my work it cost me less than £20 on steel sheets. The welding was £280 all in. You will deffinatley need to remove your skirt tho to allow proper access. Hope you fix it cos it looks a nice car.
  17. Same as the autobahn88 intercooler. Ive got one, made a nice noticable difference.
  18. What nose panel have you got above the filter?
  19. Ive no chance of making it down this year unfortunatly :-(. wont have time to get the engine built and fitted before jae, so looks like another year missed :-( :-(.
  20. Makes me glad i got my alfa romeo. I can do 70mph+ a fair bit more and still return 45mpg.
  21. Where they based at?. Could do with a quote for mine doing.
  22. Ok, will keep a eye out for any updates. After the hours we put into that engine its a shame to see it like that :-(.
  23. Jeff do you know if the engine is for sale?. Would be interested in its still got tubs n injectors in it. It was a quick car, i fitted that engine in it with steve.
  24. Proper shame to see this.
