A full rebuild is very costly, even if you rebuild it yourself. But to me its the only way to go if you need one. Second hand may be good for a short term basis ie to get your car back on the road fast. But building a new one is best way to try getting a more reliable one to last(if done right and serviced properly)

seems that the metal cancer is taking alot of zeds off the road over the last year. Such a shame as yours is a very nice looking example. Sorry to hear ur bad news.

Am bit gutted that the bumper i bought is about 5-7mm to short in width so the wing on drivers side hangs over end of it :-(

Sorry to hear this predicament mate. If i was you i wouldnt go promising holidays and weekends away. If thats what she wants from ya then she's really not worth it. A good person wouldnt even hesitate when you needed to spend time with your family(especially when they were poorly) they would support you 110%. When times are bad, thats when the RIGHT person for ya will be there no matter what and if she was that one you would of still been together. Cut your ties completely and try to move on. Sorry if this isnt what you wanted to hear, but thats how i see it. Best of luck.

have got a little more done but needs fettling,lol As you can see ive got most of the blending "almost there" ,but would appreciate abit of onsite assistance in getting it that bit better so it looks right. cheers dave

will put some on when i get on computer. Have taken a couple of pics but they dont show it quite as bad as it looks in reality. When sun is on car it shows quite badly.

Thanks for the words, was just getting very p1$$3d off with it last last. The main point of this thread wasnt to ask anyone to just come and do it for me, but more of a friendly way of having a good little meet whilst doing something we all enjoy (working on zeds).

A whole day n not 1 reply. Ooh how good it is to not be popular.

Am not a experienced person in bodywork, but i dont mind giving things a try after all it is the only way to learn. Have spent hours filling and blending side skirts in, but when painted i look at it and just say 'ERRM NOOO' its still not how i would like it to be. Doesnt look bad, but no. Dont want to put car in a bodyshop as that would defeat the whole purpose of what im doing. But would like some help (not to do the work) but more to just in situ and give advise on where it goes wrong. So am thinking more like a little get together hands on type day( also stripping everything out of engine bay) and with a bbq for dinner and a laugh to maybe get the bodywork upto scratch for painting. So if anyone good with this sort of thing thinks this is a good idea let me know. Maybe something that could be done all over by local members and would be a good way to get to know people in the area in the club.

it does give it a good stance on the road. Looks sweet in the rear view mirror as it approaches.

Probably cos we had to divert by my work on way there,lol. A straight run tho its not too bad. Although you asked me to take it steady n u kept putting ya foot down,lol N donny roundabout, you naughty man,lol.
