nervous time
The zed should be going in for the MOT tommorow. Im not expecting a pass but hopefully there shouldnt be too much for it to fail on Very nervous as its taken me over 4yrs to get it ready to be used again and im hoping that 99% of it is all fine. would be a huge bonus if i just receive a few advisories. So fingers crossed. What are the exhaust fumes test allowances for a tt uk zx? As mine is probably a little high as its not been run in yet.

took the disk off and removed a plasic spigot bush that for some reason had gone behind the disk. Cleaned disk, calipers and refitted and now works like it should again.

Ive not had rear apart other than deleting the hicas. Hope its not the bearing as ive already changed it once before.

Tried to take car out for a little run today to try it out for first time. But i have got a really bad wobble on drivers rear wheel. Its moving that much that the brake caliper has tried carvin away the brake disk. its moving about 1-2inch. Wheel is on tight but looks like something major on that side is broken.

traction issues
Standard wheels are crap regardless of the tyres once you have upped the power of the car. bigger wider wheels are imo a must for ya.

Its nearly ready
As alot of you know its been a long battle with more downs than ups, but its,almost done now. Today i replaced the power steering pump(still very heavy steering) but need to refil fuel so can run engine more and bleed the steering system up more. The engine i got of kjz32(keith) runs sweet. Clutch and gearbox are perfect And today me and my dad got all the lights and interior pods working again, and the horns. I now just need a front tyre, refit front bumper, seal a exhaust joint and replace both hicas arm end bushes and it will be ready for mot. I expect it to fail first time but not on much(hopefully). This will then give me my final list of jobs to do to get it back on the road. It could do with setting up with consult(hint for any help,lol). But all in all after over 4years i can finally see a end. Ive driven it a little around the garages round back of my house( its private land so am fine on there). I would like to thank everybody for all your support and help over the last year and it has really helped save another zed from the scrapheap.

N/A vs TT ps pulley
Thats a interesting thread. Which measurement was the final correct one to have them align properly again? I take it from your thread that you put the tt pulley on backwards?.

N/A vs TT ps pulley
I've been changing over the tt power steering pump for a n/a one. I see the pulley wheels dont line up, but has anyone managed to make a tt pulley fit the na pump and line up properly??. If so what size shimmy would make it fit the correct alignment to the lower pulley wheel?. I know it would be easier to simply get a 3pk belt, but was just wondering if it could be done,lol.

I seem to be having problems getting my lights working. Im sure there are suppose to be 2grey plugs next to the drivers side wing. I have one that comes thro from the wheel arch, but im sure there is suppose to be another one around that area that i think is part of the earthng circuit for the lights. At present i have the dipped headlights, hazards(except drivers side front), rear fogs, brake lights. I dont have, Rear running lights Main beam Side lights Dash lights Drivers side front indicator If i earth out the drivers indicator it works. Can anyone help please.

I may be foobarred then as i have a na pot, so dont have anywhere for the extra hose to go back into the pot with.

Now i have the car drivable :-), i have no ps at all. I have deleted the hicas and have replaced the fluid TT pot with a N/A pot and blanked off the side hose on my tt pump. The top hose runs along the pump and down to the subframe. The rear hoseline is to the pot The side of the pump went to the hicas and is now blanked off. Has anyone done a hicas delete keeping the tt pump? If so have you any pics/diagrams of how you replumbed yours please.
