  6. do you have an immobiliser installed? the 5pin spade sounds like a typical jap spec ignition barrel
  7. i've always wanted one that goes blip blip I'd go toad having seen them installed on a lot of freinds and families cars, mine came with a gemel, can't fault that either really
  8. you should be able to download the site as you have extensions installed, try looking at http://newbee.hostroute.co.uk it should tell you on there, or i can just send it all to you
  9. Admiral - 23 - 3yncb - £830 fully comp I put my mum on my policy as a named driver, she doenst have to live at the same address as they didn't even ask for her address, dropped it about 500 quid
  10. I blame driving test bud, when I was doing my lessons (7 years ago) lights were not covered at all in any of my lessons or driving test,
  11. bit of water and washing up liquid on the goggles stops them misting up, wear a scarf around your neck, one that gives you enough padding without being too hot, i've seen people hit on the neck and its nasty, one bloke when i was painting got hit on the side of the neck and literally had a bump the size of an apple come up within seconds. be prepared for the next day also, if you havnt done physical activity for a while then you probably won't be able to walk very well if at all lol. I find the pain of being hit by a ball makes it more realistic :D, i've had bruises that have lasted 4 weeks however. its wicked fun though, i'd be up for a day out,
  12. main beam in fog can cause a drivers range of view to be severly decreased, thats why people do it
  13. always shifty bud :D, what PeteR doesnt realise is that I have nicked 2 z32 engines and have them under my coat :D was a good day though, got a feeling a lot of these photos are going to be put to misuse, shame i forgot my camera :S
  14. what is it you are looking for? i cant find an exploeded view of it but i can probably draw it :D if you take the cowling off, the bar coming off of the motor sits on top of the ball like joint on the linkage coming off of the wiper assembly (i think its that way around), the bar from the motor may be out of place at the top, turn the wipers on and see what moves, then grab that bit and feed it onto the wiper arm assembly, it doesnt really need to be pused on hard, it usually only breaks if wipers gets stuck, or has that section acrually broken?
  15. its meant to break away its a friction joint, it stops the wiper linkages from snapping if the wipers get stuck, just rehook it back up and you are set, you may have to have the wipers on to get it realigned, takes about 30 seconds to do and a little bit of force,
  16. its not really specific to z's, the whole drama was dreamt up to sell more UK cars instead of importing nearly identical cheaper versions from overseas, simple as that :) I went UK because I was had no chance in hell of gettig insured on an import, i would have no problem driving or owning an import however
  17. MTL is the expert at this :) he removes his box with the auto box in place, also you can leave the auxiliary pumps int he bay, just cable tie them off to the side when you have unbolted them from the engine.
  18. yes how many bloody threads do i have to post yes in
  19. im going and whats the plan?
  20. http://news.zdnet.com/2100-1009_22-5632148.html It concerns me the ammount of people turning to firefox to fix security problems, and the ammount of people I speak to who don't upgrade their software because they have no easy way of knowing when a new release has been issued However windows downloads my updates and installs them 3am every night when needed, firefox you need to rely on someone informing you of a patch or you need to check the site every day.
  21. they will repair first if they can't repair they will replace any chip is an MOT failure really these days as they can have a tendancy to spider
  22. ill be there guys off to the theatre first to see Tommy pinball wizard
  23. always a possiblity there is a filesystem error, a partition may be corrupt or have an aborted journal, those are fixable fsck -AaCy tune2fs -j /dev/screwedpartition most linux OSs can recover journals without manual interaction these days, usually on a reboot :), I like rebooting servers, I reboot this server at least once a week, the ammount of memory and resources this site consumes it is worth it.
