  2. My car isn't the nicest one around, its pretty stock, I have however spent a lot of money getting the bodywork pretty much mint in time for a new spoiler and a few other mods, Park up today and to my horror see a massive dent in the front wing, no idea how it got there and noone has owned up to it, will probably need the wing replacing. Not happy at all, I'm in the process of stepping up the property ladder and this is making me consider repairing and selling, Why can't people own up to this? its their fault not mine, now I have to pay for their damn mistake :(
  3. As always with the usual suspects it was an excellent day. I met up with Stuart/cerina and James300 @ lakeside services at around 6:30am and headed up the A13/M25/M40, Onto the M40 services, Baggins complimented me highly on my choice of coat, offered me £100 to purchase it, and then had a little cry with herman that they couldnt take it home for that price. Stuart filled up with oil, around 3litres and we set off up the M40 at normalish speeds, saw 2 BMW's pulled over by the rozzers and was undertaken twice by the same undercover police car (twat). Finding Thor was a bit of a chore (haha I'm a poet), we circled the same roads countless times, me, james, smw1, baggins, herman and mtl ended up in a private house, they were nice and gave us directions to Thor, well we turned around a few more times before finding the correct place :). Met some new people, Tulip, Srrae, MTL, Ajay, GlenC,Cj, smithy, and saw some of the old faces, I think most people were happy with their results, a lot of cars were detting though, probably due to to high boost. The Thor operators were very good though, much more experienced IMO than the ones we used on the SE rolling road day, they would take the time to explain to each person exactly what the graphs meant and would also help point out any problems in the curves and possible solutions. I didn't go on the rollers in the end. Highlights of the day include Messing around with MTL's nitro powered car, shame it just wouldn't run for more than 30 seconds :( Searching for petrol running on fumes SMW1's car on the rollers, well chuffed his work has paid off and shows what true bobing is about :D Apparently most of the people I spoke to were of the impression I was 44 :D, no I'm 22. :hyper: :hyper: :hyper: :hyper: Missed Mac1, PaulC, john and john-boy not being there though. :( excellent day,
  4. found a map, will be there for the time :) means getting up earlier yikes :(
  5. Stu: EXACTLY the same thing happened to me the other night, but it was at 4500rpm, However it cleared itself up after about 20 miles. I believe I somehow flooded the engine or confused the ECU by flooring it at 30mph in 5th to check the clutch, will be giving the TPS a clean now though at the weekend as I sometimes experience the "cough" this may be what is causing my occasional rev problems in 5th gear.
  6. RPS from smithy I think is what most people use and recommend, http://www.smithys-place.co.uk/300zx_clutches_flywheel.htm You save £20 for being a member also :)
  7. scared? yuh thought so
  8. I'll generally replace with new or recon, had problems with 2nd hand parts before with the MG. I've included cost of fitting as well in the overall price. Its a lot more reliable than my MG, that was off the road for 3 months out of 12 with problems.
  9. 113,000 miles on the clock in my reciet drawer for maintenance I have receipts for about £14,000 including a rebuild @ 60,000 miles which cost £6k (new short engine and turbos) In my ownership, (98,000 - 113,000) I've had to replace master brake cylinder (around £300) replace temp sensor (£20quidish) replace starter motor (£200) replace exhaust (£530 mongoose) Battery (£40) new stock disks and pads all round (£450ish) On top of that its the usual maintenance, every 6 months (3,000 miles) I have engine oil change, gearbox oil changed, rear diff oil checked, (changed every 12 months) .

  17. Its a simple job to fit one, seeing as you have an aftermarket induction kit it should only take 30 minutes to replace. Might be an option if you are worried about driving,
