  2. Airwolf. The Professionals. Star Trek. Cortina Mk5.
  3. ....and one look at your Z and they're bound to say you were speeding...
  4. Errol, glad to know theres someone local. Wouldn't mind checking out your paint job when it's done.
  5. Looks like the Sigma30/Toad takes the lead, sorry but trust you as an installer, just don't trust clifford! Can I PM you when ready? sometime next week hopefully...
  6. Can't I just have the Toad with the roof down protection and built in timer? :helpsmilie: Clifford's just scare me, review wise... If it's a Yes, and it's only as good as the fitter.......
  7. Is it Urethane? I live in Newham, where you can abseil down the roadhumps....
  8. Thats exactly the setup I'm looking for..
  9. Thats what I was considering...now I'm really confused. How do the two work together?
  10. Ditto. 0700-1900. :hang:
  11. Ok. At work skiving at mo...will check forums/threads this evening before making a final decision then. Thanks again guys, long live 300zx.co.uk
  12. Cheers guys, I try to avoid the loud pedal in my locality anyway, so suppose i'll just continue doing that then. Various threads seem to suggest Cliffords can be bit moody at times, so Toad it is then I thimk
  13. Damn! what work around do you guys use? or do you just sit in the car on idle, like i'm doing at present (no timer fitted yet)? Would be nice to stop/exit/set/forget.
  14. I'm considering having a Toad alarm system fitted in my Zed. Does anyone know of any issues with it working alongside their turbo timer?
  15. Q. Why did the man drive his Zed 135 miles a service? A. To drive the 135 miles back. Cheers Jeff.
  16. Patched a split water hose. Will replace Monday when I can get hold of a replacement.

  18. I know how you feel, mate. My 1992 TT bought 1 mth ago has done that twice already!! 1st time was the rad, today it was at the rear/top engine bay. it waited until halfords/eurocarparts etc were all closed before splitting. had to temp fix with rubber patch and hoseclip as I was lucky i had enough hose to cut down to the split. We appear to have the same decision to make....change out the whole bloody lot as we'll never really feel comfortable knowing another can go at any time, anywhere... But at £16. each??:censored:

  20. I changed my rad yesterday, and had to sputter home, engine stalling every time my foot went near the throttle. had no probs before leak, apart from some boost probs which zedworld advised was from a faulty thermostat. was going to change the thermo today, but after reading your post i'm wondering myself if a wet ptu can cause these sort of problems as well.......
  21. OK. New rad ready to go in, here's the plan. Fit new rad, connect hoses, etc.... Now Ive checked the forums re: airlocks, with lots of advice re: auxillary bits, BUT.. the last post i read suggested that as the car front is up on ramps, rear on ground, I can just refill with 70/30 glycol mix, run and check every 20 mins or so, with heater on 40deg, and top up as required, right ? Also, while I'm at it, is there a way to flush out the system BEFORE i put the new rad on? don't want old shite in the new one, I'm thinking.....
  22. Thanks for the heads up, Guys. SteveE, did u ask Ed when he's gonna do up a Zed? lol. A terraclean sounds like a less painful option for a stock Z,especially if u don't wanna be taking bits off if u don't have to, and i'm still 50/50 on the waterless coolant after reading the related thread links courtesy of Iangreenfield for us newbies SteveE, no pressure, mate :thumbup1:
  23. Has anyone tried this new "colonic irrigation" fuel system flush, as seen on Wheeler Dealers, and now advertised by Ed? What's your verdict? ...and while we're on that topic, I'm sure I watched one where Ed was promoting some stuff that replaces water in the rads?? Not sure about that one, personally... Still waiting to see Ed get his head 'round a Z though...
  24. Finally!! A full day to myself without any trips to the Park, Ikea, Costcos or Great Aunt Mo. Traced the leak quite easily after jacking her up on ramps. New rad required, leaking from behind the black strip down the side. Back on the road soon....
