  2. The harnesses aren't that expensive IMO and OEM harnesses aren't going to be around much longer. I would personally invest as you'd increase reliability 10 fold.
  3. You do not need a new fuel rail, use the existing one. You just just need the injector clamp adaptors and the connector adaptors (if you're not replacing the harness). If you're going to the trouble of replacing them all with new style injectors, you might as well upgrade - you have a bit of future proofing then and some tuning options if you ever want to run much higher boost levels and for the small additional cost, it makes sense. I went for 740cc NISMO (brand new genuine) although you can also get 615cc but there's not much in it price-wise. With 740cc, you can run higher ethanol content up to E85. I bought all new from Z1. Would not trust used or reconditioned or other vendors. I also replaced my engine harness with a new OEM 96 version to fully future-proof (along with S2 CAS and PTU and a SpecialtyZ tune) as they were becoming harder to get hold of and repairing 30 year old crusty harnesses is a fool's errand. You have no idea how well it ran. It was literally like driving a new car.
  4. Gel / 4D plates are really cheesy IMO. Nice E90, I had an E90 M-sport with the Motorsport wheels. Lovely drive.
  5. Love it! Looked great in the flesh too! ?......apart from those dreadful 4D plates!
  6. Deffo is the WORST time of the year to have an event like this if they want to attract any retro cars especially.
  7. Depends whether UK spec (wider rears) or not.
  8. I think before anything like that, the forum needs dramatic streamlining, something I've been saying for years but little seems to change. There are section after section of either unused or pointless sub areas on here which I'm sure puts folks off driving them to Facebook and to such dreadful pages as the poorly named NISMO 300zx page. There are 44 sub sections on the forum's main page. Regions really needs to be combined to a national section - there simply aren't enough active users and owners to generate traffic and regular regional meets. The PC Tech corner is probably the biggest waste of bandwidth on here with one section not being posted in for a decade...A DECADE. That whole area needs removing - this is a car enthusiasts' page. The Premium Members' area is full of pointless sub categories too. 'Jokes plus video games and links'. Why is that even on here? In my opinion this is all you need to make it slick: Standard Member forums: * Meet the club and membership enquiries * Newbies * Issue tracker: Subscribed Member forums: * General Chat (non Z related) * Z General Chat * Technical * Styling * FAQ area * Meetings and Events * Classifieds It doesn't need anymore than that. You don't need sub categories for Photoshop requests or dyno results, there just isn't enough traffic for that and only achieves in making the forum look heavily cluttered. Keep it simple. This forum is (was) a wonderful resource; there's an amazing amount of information on here, a lot which helped me during my early days of 300zx ownership and then subsequently, information I put back in. Sadly though most of this is almost impossible to find with the migration over to this current forum software; the search engine just doesn't seem to be able to drag out the information and that's key to opening up this forum to a wider audience. It's now easier to search on the Facebook pages (granted, you get a huge amount of bad information on there, but at least it's searchable). My two penneth.
  9. Significantly. Search functions and edit functions on this current system just have a massive lack of functionality.
  10. Forgot how painful this forum is to use when editing posts and trying to add a photo to an edited post....ie, hopeless. ?
  11. Whilst I never laid mine up for the entire winter, I definitely did not use it when it was wet or salty. Part of the enjoyment of ownership of one of these cars is the care and preservation. ? Who wants rust and stonechips all over their car? I certainly don't/didn't but I did use it and drove it all over Europe. The Aston gets the same treatment. I had the garage in my new house all lined, painted, decent flooring and also heated. Having a radiator in the garage is not really for the car's benefit, but for mine. It's lovely to have a tinker in the garage in warmth and comfort.
  12. ROLL ON SUMMER Not wanting to wish my time away, but I truly detest the winter. There is nothing I like about....oh yes there is, when it's finally over....a bit like Christmas which is about as over rated as football and Fish & Chips. ?
  13. So glad I got almost no snow. I EFFING DETEST the stuff.
  14. Hallelujah, I never thought I'd ever read those words from Richard Smith. ? Preserve your Zs y'all!
