  1. Have you got yours fitted yet Andrew!?
  2. Tentatively booked my car in to the same place as JoelyP's to have work done on my car for March. I'm itching to fit the new spoiler. I've also got loads of other new bits and bobs to fit.
  3. Neither did I!
  4. A: No, they don't have the same 'low end grunt'. B: NAs enjoy throwing their rods. A well maintained stock TT, or even one with quality boost upgrades will often outlive an NA who's inherent flaw is its stock map which detonates. NAs do like to throw their rods, even on well maintained cars. I've driven both extensively and whilst the NA is a pleasant enough drive, there's absolutely no comparison. On long motorway runs, you're likely to see slightly better fuel economy from the TT. I would say it's 'horses for courses', but I couldn't. I would personally steer you toward the TT model. People seem to have this misconception that the TT is less reliable. This is because there are a lot of bodge cars around or ones that have been poorly maintained. A good TT will outlive an NA. Just gotta find one!
  5. God no! I have 2 white cars, this will be the 3rd. It's staying white. The paintwork is actually really good, just needs a polish. I've done a few small areas and it came out really well.
  6. I've always liked the S10 as another friend of mine had a 4-cylinder S10 many moons ago. As we don't get them here, they are a bit of a novelty and I might ship it to the UK some day. I had been looking around for a 300zx or some sort of GM manufactured coupe from the early 2000s, but when my friend said he had an S10 sat in his back yard, I jumped at the chance! It's a V6 extended cab, it's a Texas truck, so the underside is rust free and the paint is surprisingly good. It needs a new door and rear bed....oh, and the small matter of a replacement engine which we have, although I am considering an LS swap (V8) as they bolt straight in. If I'd gone for another 300zx, I'd have ended up with another project Z and I wanted something cheap with cheap parts. This cost me the princely sum of $1000. Plans are as follows after the replacement panels have been bought and the replacement motor installed: *Junk the toolbox - that horrible thing that sits on the bed behind the cab. *Powdercoat the rails on the bed to a satin black *Clear indicators *Replace the aerial *Later spec dash bezel to fit a double DIN headunit with GPS *Silverado steering wheel *New carpets + matts *Tinted door glass *Power window and lock swap *Corvette sawblades - I want to try and squeeze the 11" versions on the rear. All super cheap stuff to do. It has everything else you'd expect from a poorly made American vehicle, so it includes cruise control and air conditioning. I kinda fell in love with it when I saw it, don't ask me why!!! This is what they look like with the Corvette wheels.
  7. Snap-fit, very straight forward. You'll cut the old one off.
  8. A small price to pay regardless. Something that helps give you perfect panel fit is priceless in my opinion. I've stopped caring how much new OE stuff costs. It's worth every penny. I just bend over and take it. :) Most parts have a high probability of going obsolete very soon, so I buy what I can. I have boxes of new OEM stuff sat in the drawers. Mainly nuts, bolts, fastenings and fixings.
  9. That's £7....so £3.50 each - I wouldn't even complain. It is was it is and really isn't that bad. You're starting to sound like Mondo. :wack:  ;) I bought these a few years ago. :)
  10. Easier and better solution is to get bolt-on hubcentric spacers.
  11. Happy new year from Dallas, Texas! We have a BBQ going, it's a very pleasant 21 degrees here today.
  12. Hairy Christmas! Not a sprout in sight from where I'm sat!
  13. Whilst I use a couple of Z32 Facebook pages (US ones), I prefer to use the forum. Fortunately the only busy UK 300zx Facebook page, the poorly named 'Nismo UK 300zx' is dreadful, full of trash and idiots and I prefer not to waste my time with it. The main US one is pretty good though, but it helps I know a lot of the guys on it them or are highly active. In addition, searching is a painful chore, so historical stuff isn't really a 'thing', so I will always use the forum - it's a much better tool IMO and generally the information is a lot more accurate. The forum has become quieter for sure, however I think over half of that is due to dwindling numbers rather than a migration to Facebook. The ownership base is probably half of what it was a decade ago.
  14. Nope, no problems at all and I haven't heard any instances of that and this car has encountered some pretty hot conditions. Can't be any worse than Z32 rear glass shattering.
  15. Nothing wrong with this. :)
  16. Mine is. I have twin sunroofs, the one closest to the front will tilt and retract.
  17. I remember now, didn't you go and buy a Mitsubishi Space Gear to take up there?
  18. Sweden is lovely mate, prepare your wallet though as it's very expensive.
  19. Got a panoramic sunroof on my Merc. :)
  20. Half the population hate sprouts and people eat them at Christmas 'just because'! LOL I'd sooner not waste my stomach capacity on them. If you want to fart, eat beans! Interesting job! My job only takes me into Europe, everything else is under my own account! I'm going to be car hunting whilst I'm in Texas, enjoy doing up the Primastar! They're great vans to drive and were leagues ahead of most other things that came out on its launch. Ford have only recently just caught up! Actually, their new Transit Custom is a really nice van to drive.
