  1. Carrying on with some more engine dress-up, I'm wanting to get some replacement parts to have acid dipped and electro plated to look like new. So I need the following. Early style coil pack brackets with 4 holes rather than the later with 2 side holes (for powder coating) - free from corrosion, but can be scratched/flakey Fuel rail TT Various breather unions and bracket/pipe as highlighted below.
  2. Speak to Jimmer, he has replacement sill panels and rear arches available for these cars. He can supply and fit. Very good work. If the outer sills are I'm such a mess, you'll likely find that the inners are shot too.
  3. JAE or herpes, herpes or JAE.......hmmmm..think I'll go with the herpes option.
  4. Oh I know this! They're much less blue than my old 6000k ones and the blue tinge is very minor; merely pointing out that they weren't yellowy and other kits of the same spec I've seen haven't been 'yellowy'. I wouldn't mind it looking more yellowy as it's a little closer to what OEM units would be. 3000k is much brighter. :)
  5. True, however there's a number of reasons for that. Firstly, US Interstate Highways have a wide hard shoulder either side of the road meaning access by emergency services is fairly straightforward, secondly, that highway is made from concrete, so there will be little issue with the tarmac melting and giving way thus negating the need for resurfacing. Not sure it's a great idea though as if the tank was to blow, you'd get some of the incoming. Tyres exploding can cause nasty damage too.
  6. Too blue for me! Glad you like 'em though. There is no yellow tinge on my headlights. Depends what wattage the system is also. All of them vary as you've said. The list above is not infinitesimal. I'd say 4500k was pure white although my headlights are proof that that's not the case, they're still slightly blue, but since their scale is either at 4300k or 5000k, there is no information on what's in between.
  7. 4500k does not give a yellowish tinge. Mine are 4500k and they are still very slightly blue. 6000k I had before and that was too blue, I'm even tempted to go for 3500k. It depends what you like really. 3500k - 4500k give you and OEM look and are brighter than 6000k. 8000k are plain awful.
  8. Hadn't come across that one, could work! Looks like the mount point is the same style. I'd paint that grey bit black though. It might look a little unfinished with exposed screw holes, but looks like it will fit. Don't think the Mazda 3 one would fit.
  9. I did a while ago but couldn't find anything that fitted other cars that would mount in the same position. Cars that generally have this equipment fitted are part of a large housing affixed to the screen containing other sensors for auto washwipe, auto headlights and a sensor for the autodip on the wing mirrors. The Z32 mirror is mounted on a small spindle press-fitted to a bolt in the roof. I haven't seen another car with this equipment fitted that would enable fitment to a location similar to that on our cars.
  10. Needs the monies for his first house......he's got a long way to go. Mind you, 17 people already currently have no taste.
  11. Straight from a Mexican brothel in Tijuana. All they need are cum stains and lipstick marks to make them look authentic.
  12. That already exists, although it's hidden away a bit and is only available to subscribed members (probably rightly so). http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/forumdisplay.php?145-Journal
  13. Finally managed to get myself a decent number plate bracket with only a modicum of rust. Dropped it off at the powder coaters today along with the bumper support cable brackets. Looking forward to getting these unremarkable parts back looking lovely and new. :)
  14. Nismo UK page is the worst Z32 page on Facebook. Why the hell is it called Nismo 300zx anyway, no such bloody thing. Facebook pages are not searchable and there is a lot of miss information on them. Not saying they're all bad, there are some very good ones, but there's more qualified information on dedicated forums, it's searchable and it's also good to find out a car's history and most owners document it somewhere.
  15. Warning to all after winter hibernation - and general maintenance anyway - check all your fuel lines. Z32 fuel lines in many cars are old, cracked or loose. The older style worm-drive hose clips are not maintenance free. [video=youtube;crEFlct0-uM]
  16. At least it's all contained in 1 thread. I don't mind it personally; at least it's not 'what oil should I use in my Z' or 'where can I get spares from - Nissan dealerships cost a fortune'.
  17. Got it out for the first time in 6 months today! Bliss! Fitted up a bunch of new interior parts and my new single din head unit. Much happier with it. All coming out in a few weeks anyway so it stays clean and dust free whilst at the bodyshop. That first drive after winter hibernation is always awesome. The car didn't miss and beat and put big smiles on my face!
  18. I think so. It was a turd wasn't it?
  19. Furry muff - I will go to bed now - clearly my brain has been done for this week! Up early tomorrow as the Z gets its first drive in nearly 6 months tomorrow!! Dry and no salt! yyyyeeeeehaw!
