I only piss in the sink if there's no toilet. I am not that much of an animal. I've got some photos of my uni halls and my room...at home somewhere. I'll have to upload them. My room was a shocking mess. Was a stage I went through I guess as a student as I can't have anything BUT to have everything all squeeky clean and tidy.

I'm quite lucky with my place. Relatively new build and most modern garages are built for something not much bigger than an Astra. But luckily, mine is more than adequate. I have in mine, my Z, my mate's motorbike and a couple of pushbikes and it's not even a double garage and I can still walk down the side of it.

Eat egg butties constantly. *disclaimer* I used to piss in my sink at my university halls of residence as none of them were en-suite. Who's going to want to get up and walk down a freezing cold passageway to get to the bog at 3am when you're in your pants....or worse, with truncheon out when there's pissed up goons running about. I wasn't the only person to participate in this act. Keep the water running to flush it all away and leave your room smelling the same....(of rotting pizza and stale beer usually).

Redline MT90 is what tends to be recommended on here. You'll need to buy 4 quarts which are some silly American capacity. Bottles come in Quart size. 1 quart is under a litre. Something like 950mil iirc. Capacity is 3.1 litres for manual gearbox .

Maybe it needs a remap (ECU reset). Just mention it to VW. Might have picked up some dodgy fuel with an off-spec flashpoint. What year is it? They should be able to plug it into their computers and download any updated fuel mappings they might have. I know that was the case with my MK5 Astra CDTi that I used to have.

Sounds like a typical TDi to me. Only get power from the turbo between about 2,500 and 3,000 rpm.

Excellent stuff! I always used to have Vauxhalls. Easy to maintain and I have a fondness for the mid-80s stuff like the Astra GTE 16v etc and the Late spec Mantas. The car my Z replaced was this. Bought this when I was 21 after leaving uni.. A Calibra V6 coughed up its guts and was the new heart to this, originally rather dowdy Cabrio. Fitted a GSi bodykit and imported a very rare saloon style GSi rear bumper which I sourced from South Africa. Only one at the time. Look ok for a Mk3 Astra Cabrio and went well. Sounded great!
