  1. I will. I've done what I can with it whilst in the garage. I think Sunday is going to be dry, so I'll get it out, refit the rear bumper correctly (number plate light bracket is at the powder coaters), replace the wiring harness in the boot and refit trims, remove and replace dash, fit reconditioned drivers seat and get the audio sorted. I'm hoping that Friday should see the windscreen arrive, but who knows! I want than in before I go to the US so it leaves me with little to do when I get back.
  2. I hope my Z is back together by then! Gonna be touch and go as I am still awaiting various parts, a windscreen and other things and I'm away in the US until the end of the month at the end of next week and it has no current MOT! Fingers crossed! I'll be there one way or another, may have to come up in the Merc.
  3. You talking low density neoprene?
  4. I'm going to be using a product that AndrewG recommended for the rear lights rather than that horrid tar. It's a little more supple and doesn't cure. Should be able to level the rear lights out a little easier with it and use it on the corners of the seals.
  5. 1G3 Years ago I had the mirror bases from an original finish matched to the nearest metallic shade of grey and it turned out that the closest match was a Toyota metallic grey.
  6. Genuine Twin Turbo badge for early models. Nice subtle colour to it rather than these chrome/bright silver reproductions. Not cheap, but they do look nicer IMO.
  7. It's graphite like the mirror bases. The white screws up the contrast on the phone which is why it looks darker than it is. It's exactly the same colour as it used to be.
  8. Front end mostly aligned/fitted up. Pretty pleased with it so far.
  9. Yes yes! I've built the tailgate up and the fitment of everything is awesome! I'm having a rest now, rebuilding the mirrors tonight and the front end tomorrow before a going to a classic car rally (which I should have been in - with Jon Bentley) and a polo match - this weekend has been full-on!
  10. ....and now home. I don't have any pics of it other than this one, but I'm happy with what I see. It was delivered to my house on the back of a transporter a few hours ago but unfortunately I'm at a speed awareness course..... Frustrating!!
  11. This might help you. I am not too sure whether the PCBs are identical. Groover would know. https://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?157208-clocks-doesn-t-work-(&p=1747265&viewfull=1#post1747265
  12. Not totally sure what that meme is all about.
  13. It's the only stuff to use.
  14. It depends how much you have rolled your arches. If it's just the lips for example then no they won't fit without some hefty rolling especially at the front. 245 on a 10.5" wheel is a no good IMO.
  15. Exactly. It's self explanatory once you look at it (I hadn't previously), it's also diagonally placed for that reason to help with resonance in wider angle. I'll happily get it confirmed from the horse's mouth with Toshio San at ZCon in a few weeks. It was brought up a number of times before.
  16. You're going about this all the wrong way mate.
  17. The guys that did Joel's car and they're currently doing my car! Not cheap at all, but good value considering the quality of product they produce!
  18. Yeah the finish is incredible. I'm going to layer up the wax coatings on it before I fit it. The plastic bits I had no idea were gloss, just like the rear screen top-trim, it's the same finish! ;)
  19. Ditto to that! I can't wait to get it back!! I already had a lot of new fastenings and fixings on it, but have plenty more, the weatherstrips especially I'm looking forward to fitting. New rear top trim on the tailgate is on and I have a new targa hook sat here waiting to be fitted. I love the detail stuff. No, the headlights didn't, however mine are in exceptional condition and I've started wiping them down with G101 in a 1:1 solution, and they're coming up like brand new. I have new nose panel rubbers too for comparison and they're looking the same in terms of finish, so I'll leave them I think. I've just got myself new headlight foam seals which I'll fit before fitting the headlights, that should make things look a little more fresh too.
  20. Yeah, well fortunately I don't think if a Z32 boot flutters, it will break apart!
  21. Appreciate this thread is a year old, but only Terry got it partially correct. It is certainly not a counterweight as it would serve very little purpose at that. What it actually is is an anti-vibration device fitted to reduce 'flutter' on the tailgate created by resonance at certain speeds. I wouldn't remove it personally, the weight is insignificant and hardly worth ditching.
