  1. Not sure I agree with that. LEDs look out of place IMO and I have tried many many different types of varying brightness and never felt they looked right on a near 30 year old car as timeless as it is. On a slightly different note, I saw a 1960's Trumph Spitfire yesterday and someone had put LED halo DRL lights in it, how I laughed and cringed at the same time!
  2. I was waiting for you to get back to me with a replacement dial fascia to swap and never heard back. They've gone to someone else now I'm afraid.
  3. It's a club meet and it's for Z cars.....
  4. Not obsolete, but a pricing comparison. Interior targa trim: A UK mail order Z shop who shall remain nameless offers these at £58 + VAT per side, allcarpartsfast £44.50 + VAT per side, that's not before you factor in shipping. A UK mail order Z shop who shall remain nameless is about £15 or something, allcarpartsfast is about a fiver. est.£154.20 vs £106.80 for the pair delivered giving a potential saving of 45% over A UK mail order Z shop who shall remain nameless which is absolutely crazy IMO!!!!!!!!!!!! Use allcarpartsfast.co.uk at every opportunity. JoelyP, AndrewG and myself have been using them and they've been pretty good. Also, don't buy these from the US as generally, they'll send you out ones with key holes in them as US spec Z32 targa models had lockable targa panels.
  5. Every single LED now removed and boy is it nicer! I've reverted back to incandescent dash clock bulbs and not only does the dimmer now work again, but the clocks are much nicer on the eye at night, a much softer and more evenly spread light. Gone too are the aluminium dial surrounds and it's back to looking how it would have done, some might say that's too plain, but to be honest, it's less fussy and looks a little cleaner.
  6. Thanks Jeff. - - - Updated - - - September will likely be the old injectors. Still waiting on my new starter motor and starter harness. Those have had to come from Japan.
  7. Thanks Andrew, I'm going to replace all of them with 740s by the end of the year along with a new harness and chip. For now, it's just to get it running correctly. Yes Gary, it's open circuit unfortunately, so needs replacing.
  8. I'm going to attempt an injector replacement, it's no.1 injector (by oil filler). Has anyone removed and replaced this without Dremel work? It looks like by removing the throttle cable bracket, that it should be doable.
  9. I'm really really gutted that I won't be bringing it to Coventry.
  10. Thanks Andrew. Possibly Craig although unlikely at this stage, I still need to get it MoTd and some further work done by Jimmer.
  11. Windscreen has finally turned up and is due to be fitted on Friday. 16 weeks I've waited for it. Try never to break your windscreen as they take forever to be specially made. All Z32 windscreens are made to order now and the lead time is just stupid.
  12. The're totally different. Didn't you say you wanted one for a shortie?
  13. Yes, the larger ones are T5, same as your wing indicators and sidelights. The smaller ones I have a load of spares.

  15. Such a horribly ugly car.
  16. I have one on order actually. Not as easy to find as they once were. The first one I tried to get ended up being a solid battle ship grey which is no good. It looks really odd without the pinstripe. All the vapour barriers are are a thick polythene sheet. I've just put sound deadening in.
  17. Come on you stalion, how old is the wife? Under 30? :D
  18. You shopped around? How old are you?
  19. No I haven't. My premiums are low anyway and I couldn't think of anything worse to be honest. We all like a spirited drive once in a while when the conditions allow, would you really want to be penalised every time you did that? I'd happily pay money not to have one of those fitted.
  20. Why? You can't even get windscreens off the shelf for these cars anymore, why would you think that someone would invest time and money into producing a sub box for a car that they'd likely only sell a few of a year? There's only one company I know that is dedicated to producing production volume (low) sub box systems for the Z32 as a focus business and that's Maniacal Motorsports out of Phoenix. They do supply Z1 and CZP I believe.
  21. Rip out that junk! Turbo Timers are twaddle. You're best off just cruising off-boost the last few miles of your journey. A far better and more efficient way of making sure your turbos aren't sat in burning oil. Never seen the point of them to be honest.
  22. Few photos - almost finished. Just the bumper corners to secure and still waiting on this ******* windscreen!
  23. All you need to do is advise us on what the width of the wheel is. It's likely to be stamped somewhere on the inward facing part of the wheel, usually on the hub face or behind the centre cap on the outward facing part of the wheel.
  24. Says 'unsold' based on what I can see. Looks like no one bought it if there was a reserve on it.
