I agree to a point. It depends on the technology in the filter media and how efficient they are (Beta ratio). Not sure how good the tests are on these to find out nominal flow and differential pressure. I did hear that Fram were said to be poor.

Wondering now what level the filter actually filter down to. Do they have a micron rating?

I always replace my oil filter with a Nissan OEM one. They aren't expensive and being OEM will be good quality...probably made by Coopers anyway! LOL I found out some information today that I am unsure of and want clarification. The OEM filter for our cars (55U) has been discontinued by Nissan so they aren't available. The replacement filter that fits (55Y) is missing the unidirectional valve of the original. I believe unidirectional valves are there to prevent backflow? Apparently, Wix make a filter for the Z32, which is constructed with an anti drain-back valve just like the original 55U. Anyone clarify any of this?

The surrounding countryside is beautiful, but the Port Talbot skyline is dominated by this...the hugely ugly, and run-down looking Corus steel plant. On a lighter note, Corus is a big employer in the area with that and the site at Llanwern.

You drive a Z with 2 turbos and don't see the appeal in something rarer, more exotic looking and produces the same power without turbos? :confused: Not to mention the mid-mounted engine and Ayrton Senna tested chassis. :D If you've ever heard one on full chat, you'd know they sound amazing too. :bow: I don't like what's in the link though. Always prefered the pre-facelift NSX without the bug-eyed headlights. This is how they best look... :)

S-type looks like a horrible Rover 75. Really ungainly looking. I know they have similar underpinnings to the Mondeo, but as far as looks go, this X-type is my fav. Such a pretty looking saloon car. You can't get a new one for £19k though, but a 1 year old one you should be able to.

Grease lasts about 5 mins on the latch. I wrap insulation tape round it, lasts a little longer. I need to re-do mine as it's started squeeking again!

Tax is only expensive in Southern Ireland. Northern Ireland, it's the same as here.

Cheapest houses are in Port Talbot...but wouldn't live there ever!! I work in Wales from time to time and I do like it, there are some lovely areas and the people are always friendly. Nicer than the English!

The POTN ones are really poorly worded. I ordered mine over the phone. Just give them a call and order the 20mm spacer kit for the 350Z. Make sure they are the bolt-on ones like this...

IMHO, you can pretty much get what you need if you look. Good supply of performance parts and the Z needs little in the way of body enhancements. I'd rather see a list made of all the stuff that shouldn't be available for the Z, like ungainly bodykits, chrome door pillars and ugly aftermarket rear lights etc. :rofl:

Not the youngest in the world. Quite a few guys in the states and Auz that are driving them at 16. Good luck with it and take care!!!!! The car still scares me at times and I've been driving for years!

I reckon you should keep it Lee. I know that you'd keep it as it is and not graft half a boat to it. Mind you, someone paying good money for such a high spec Z may not do that either...one would hope.

I reckon that front bumper (incl. extension) looks better than 99-spec. Just the rear lights and you're all set. :)
