  1. LOL, in pitch black around 85 degree heat at night with it hanging off the back of a trailer with them having to drive to the equivelant of Scotland and back to get another gearbox!? ....maybe...lol ;)
  2. Fancyplates product won't be crap. They are well finished/made. Halfrauds won't cut them to shape. I got my rear plate cut especially from measurements I took as normal 4x4 sized plates are the wrong size and don't fit correctly. My front plate is a simple 3/4 sized.
  3. Clean plain plates are the way to go, no outlining, logos or silly straplines. :)
  4. It did feel quicker once it had gained traction....which was mid-way through 3rd gear! With the traction issues, it still felt a more powerful enging. The GT-R has got some impressive launch-control system on it. I made a video of it and I'll upload it when I get back to the UK. The Z32 was a very good build. The guy had transmission issues and the night before the show itself, a load of them decided they'd help him out and remove the broken transmission in the hotel's car park! They worked all night on it, 3 guys also went off in a pickup and drove to Springdale in Arkansas to pick up another transmission, then they decided whilst they were there that they'd tear down another Z32. When I went down the following morning, they were still there underneath it working on it. They managed to fix it all up and get it running right there and then!
  5. Certainly am. Was feckin' humid in the Mid-west, really uncomfortable at times. Just flown back to California (San Diego), so nice and warm without the humidity. Went to an LAZ32 meet last week too which was good. Had a canyon cruise north of Los Angeles. Great fun! We were chasing Armadillos and toads around the hotel carpark last night in Tulsa (Oklahoma) at MWZF!
  6. Get rid of those borders/logos!
  7. turbine end piston ring fitted - , 02 coolant sensors? WTF?? What boost are you running?
  8. Had the chance for a ride in a new GT-R while I'm over here in the states. I went out to the MidwestZfest in Tulsa Oklahoma over the past 4 days and it was fantastic. I'll get some photos up when I'm back in the UK. It was a monster of a car with the most amazing braking and handling system I've ever experienced. I'm still not over-awed with the looks and interior, but the mechanicals were out of this world! It has a wonderful driving position too. After that, I had a ride in a 700+bhp Z32 TT which felt every bit as quick through the mid-range powerband after it had actually managed to start gripping! 3rd gear has always been a good gear in the Z32 TT and this just opened the thing up into an animal! I want more power! I now hate stock TT performance, it's sloooowwwwwww! /excitement over!
  9. FINALLY!!!!! Looks very very nice Richard!! :D
  10. Send her into Z32-zone! They are in Tokyo. Just give her $500 and then tell her what NOT to buy. :)
  11. Very sad. I'm off to the US later today. Makes for grim reading. :(
  12. It's not a bad looking bumper as a singular item. But, IMHO, as with a lot of aftermarket front bumpers, they just don't work with the lines of the car. You need to do drastic mods to the drop sides and match a rear bumper otherwise it looks very miss match. On most aftermarket fascias, the stock dropsides are a completely different curvature than the fascia. Whilst the base of the front bumper flares out, the dropsides curve in. There is also a recess line that runs round the car, but mysteriously vanishes from the front bumper making it not match. Fitting an aftermarket front bumper on its own makes the Z look ever so odd.
  13. Think it was H plate. Aftermarket wheels. Heading towards Wallmart this evening around 7pm.
  14. It's the ghost of your old car. You knew you should never have murdered and butchered it.... :wack:
  15. They've now asked me to be their honorary jugde at the show and shine competition, so expect many photos when I get back! :D
  16. I think you need to chill out! There is such a thing as trying to have a laugh.....
  17. I know you may be Spanish, but that makes almost no sence what so ever!  ;)
  18. Probably get more out of him if you sent him a PM. ;) :)
  19. Yeah, but I do love the look of it A LOT!!! The matching skirts are really nice too. If I had a silver Z, then I'd most likely do it and modify the Type 3 rear bumper a little as I've always been unsure about the way it wraps around the exhaust and the little flared lip at the bottom of it. I couldn't just have the lip on its own as it doesn't follow the contour of the drop-sides and follow the thickness of the recess line unless you fit the corresponding skirts. Similar issue to the effect you get with a lot of aftermarket front bumpers. With mine, I've spent a lot of time getting the rock-guard effect shaved from the stock bumpers and the sills smoothed. So I don't really want to cover that up.
  20. ...PS, I know feck all about Zs compared to lots on here.
  21. Yup, you are right. Not sure what possessed me to write type 2 as I was umming and arring about fitting one for a long time, you'll probably find various threads about it! LOL
  22. Although it looks it from that angle, I'm pretty sure that it hasn't been.
  23. As has been said, it's a stock bumper (actually an NA bumper....as it's an NA...lol.... I know the car ;) /pedantic mode off). It has the ''Type 2" Stillen extension. Stillen also make a slightly more aggressive one too which is the GTZ lip. GTZ lip
  24. Same people that plough £10s of thousands into one I guess? An enthusiast! A lot of people on here have spent £15k on their car, let alone the cost of the car itself. I see no difference other than the fact that if you were to build a car with that sort of claimed BHP, then you'd be looking at spending twice that amount. I'd rather build my own though. I have no comment on either cars. But would love to see them head to head on the rollers though. Would be a good watch. :) There's no need for bitching in an ebay advert though.
