  1. 'Classic' Kahns! Kahns will NEVER be a classic wheel! They about are classic as Team Dynamics, Wolfrace and TSW. They aren't even the right fitment. I wonder exactly what 'Nismo' bits his mate fitted other than the sticker. I love all his 'Maccys car park speak'. Must be quicker than an auto and it's prolly under 5 seconds to 60 and I think it has 320bhp. Not sure if he's even heard of the words 'turbo timer'. THE FORD RS COSWORTH IS THE ONLY CAR THAT CAN MATCH AND BEAT THESE MONSTERS what plannet is he on? 'It really is amazing'....unlike his dreadful 1-liners. Other than the terrible wheel fitment, front bumper and fogs, it looks like a pretty decent Z though. Just sounds like it's owned by a 'boyo'. So, for sale, a car with 400bhp, that doesn't actually have 400bhp, nor does it have much compression, is probably quicker than an auto (which is probably isn't) and was owned by a teenage version of Jim Davidson.
  2. I sorted it. I won't tell you what the problem was.:o

Excellent stuff! Good to see. Especially since they are one of my favourite wheels for the Z.
  4. I just said that in the second post!! You can repair them or replace them. It'll be a dry joint no doubt.
  5. Hi

If you're after a good SWB, then look no further than James Funge's car. One of the best examples of a Z in the club.
  6. ....how did you test the motor with the door-card on then? You must have had it off before?
  7. The top part? You mean the trim that the belt sits infront of? You actually need to have the window down for that as behind the window is a small plastic cover that you need to pop off. There'll be a nut behind that. The base of that peice of trim is secured at the bottom via a bracked and 2 small screws. The door-card clips onto that. You don't need to take it off to get the door card off.
  8. Getting the door car off without damaging it? LOL. As with all things, if you do it properly, you damage nothing! Door trim removal PS, regarding the window motor. Have you checked that the regulator is working? Saves a lot of time and hassle if it's just this that's fault.
  9. If he didn't know, I hope he knows the difference between offset and width. lol
  10. Work Equip! One of my all-time favourite wheels for the Z! The Equips are 3-peice in construction though, but during manufacture, a lot of wheels are welded or sealed down the centre-line....like this... You might find that yours are equal offsets which means the wheelfaces are all the same. Put them all together and look at them.
  11. What's your budget? Do you want stocks boxes or aftermarket? There are various ways you can do it. Second hand boxes from a breaker, universal back boxes made to fit, custom made backboxes or aftermarket back-boxes/system.
  12. You should be able to tell. Yours are 3 peice wheels I take it. The rear wheels, the widest inner and outter rim will be from the same wheel, the wheel centre (hub) will be narrower also. The fronts will generally have a wider hub, but narrower inner and outter rims.
  13. If you've got wider rears. ;) BUT, you could have equal offsets all round, just different widths. The fronts are unlikely to be a higher positive number though.
  14. They should unless they're custom or have been modified. Usually stamped on the inner or outter hub faces or on the inner rim lip.
  15. The higher the number, the closer the wheel face is to the hub rim makes up for that. When it goes negative the centre line of the wheel sits outward of the hub. Just think of the centreline of the wheel in relation to the hub.
  16. Well, you'll need to find the offset to see if they'll fit and/or how much the arch will need tugging. My rears are level with the arch itself.
  17. Offset depends on width as well. As a rule of thumb though, the rears will have higher figures. So, say you have a wheel of about 9" wide, you'd look at having offset of around +40 +/-10%, the fronts with something like an 8" wide wheel, then around 25 +/- 10%. But, you can specify what offset you want regarding width and horizontal position on the hub. If I had the cash, I'd order custom wheels with my own width and offset tailor-made for my car.
  18. I don't recall as it only started doing it today. If the weather's ok tomorrow, I'll take it out again and check.
  19. ....so until the next time... lol
  20. Pads are new Paul. It's not a stone. Well, not that I can see anyway.
  21. Offset? IMHO, steer well clear of cutting the arch lip!!!
  22. I only have 'Paint' on my laptop, I really need p'shop! But this is how I always thought it should look.
  23. Sorry, not keen on that at all.
