Recirc valves sound better (nothing at all) ie, not like a Scania lorry's airbrakes or some rev-happy boyo in his RSturbo down Maccys innit. ;) They are also better than atmospheric DVs. :)

It would be easier AND better to replace the tailgate with a non-rusty one. Sounds like a bodge job you're wanting to do and the perspex strip holds absolutely no structural integrity what so ever. Shame Nissan made it of the stuff rather than polycarbonate.

They are all the same 2+2 and 2+0 being the only differences and that was in length only. The red one just has the perspex panel on the trunk which was fitted to US spec NA cars and offered on all Z32s after 1996. If your tailgate's rusty, then I'd replace it. By covering it up, your harbouring more problems.

A very electric tune from the late 80s/early 90s. Trying to remember the name of the tune with part of the lyrics being some electric type voice going 'na na na 90s' in it. I think that's what it is.

The reason a 4wd was never built was due to design contraints in the body. Nissan wanted to keep the long, low raked bonnet and therefore has the engine sited low down in the bay. Adding a transfer box and other 4wd gubbins would have prevented the design we see today ever working.
