Lather....or rather 'lube' is good. Maybe I should have meant 'consistency'. Actually it lathers, but is about as thin as the water you're washing it in.

Yeah, Turtle Wax and Wash is pretty good. I get that from time to time. I think I have some Simoniz at the moment.

AVOID Carplan shampoo LIKE THE PLAGUE!. It's absolutely dreadful stuff. I wouldn't even think it was worth £2! LOL ;) If it's the same stuff as they sell at Homebase, it looks like semen and is probably about as effective. It doesn't lather very well and you need to empty in half a bottle to make it in any way effective. I tried it once, never again!

Colour code required!
KH3 I think is called 'Onyx black'.

Colour code required!
Shade. I think the later KH3 is slightly darker. Don't quote me on that though, but they are different shades.

Is something missing??
The front panel if not matched correctly will look noticable 'out' as it sits flush with the bonnet. This is why I mentioned colour matching. :)

Colour code required!
Early JDM cars were metallic black. UK cars were solid black and there are two codes for those, GL1 and KH3. I believe GL1 appeared on series 2 or 3 JDM Z32s also. KH3 is slightly later later and also a solid black. Depends on where the car was from and what year/series it was.

This fills me with joy
At least he hasn't affixed a roof rack with a knackered old bike and a fly-tip suitcase to it. :D

I appreciate that....but the speedo nailed to the bonnet at a stupid angle and the tacho that he's cut up with scissors...come on. It looks like he's tried too hard to make it look like ass.

Why couldn't they at least make it look 'nice'? I appreciate what they've done to it, I really do...but to intentionally make it look like a POS...I HATE the rat-look. I get why people do it...sort of, but I can't stand it. Why spend time making something look like a turd? Unless you hear it running, you're just going to laugh at it.

Yours is KH6 for certain. A very very skilled painter can match pearl paints, but it's not easy, especially on old paint. Generally though, it'll be extremely hard.

Rear Vibrations
Interesting. Had no idea Z1 props use a different forward joint.

Rear Vibrations
I must get me one of these!

Rear Vibrations
Prop centre bearing has probably let go, or the prop has been removed and refitted out of line. A lot of times when people take them off, they don't refit them the correct way (the way that they came off), so they become unbalanced. You can adjust them by jacking the car and changing their seating (between both sections) gradually until you find the correct location. But have a look at the prop bearing. It's not a solid bearing and is supported by a rubber sleeve that's sat in a metal housing. When the rubber sleeve goes, the prop drops slightly and you get the vibrations you experience. Other things it could be, but are less likely are hicas arms and other associated bushing relating to the differential and rear subframe.

New product: TwinZ rear bumper with diffuser
I know! :D

Is something missing??
Yes - unless it's a US model. The witness marks show that to have been removed.

New product: TwinZ rear bumper with diffuser
I've modified almost every aspect of my car! I've not got a problem with modifying if done in good taste. Taste is subjective, granted, but there is general consensus. :)

New product: TwinZ rear bumper with diffuser
Totally agree with JP. The full bumper is just too big at the base. Even with skirts it just doesn't look right. I like the diffuser and I'm considering getting one for mine actually.

Those wheels are nice and they are what you need on a wide arch. Adding spacers to 9.5"/10" wheels will make them wheels look flush, but you need depth to look good by perspective. 12" for the rear is ideal. I am not totally sure on offset specs on widearch though.

I personally reckon you should smooth them in as I am not too sure what point they serve. The aren't a vent, yet they don't tie in with anything else. Just constructive, I am not dissing. I have seen it done and it looks much nicer.

You thought about smoothing those grooves out in the rear quarters?
