Replacing VIN plates - anyone done this?
Ask Hellraiser about my engine bay. It looks professionally done! It certainly isn't 'hand painted'. Those that have seen it have been very surprised.

The top part was a little grimy and the black lettering slightly worn, so I masked the lower part and polished the top section last year. It looks neat enough.

Moustache dilema....AGAIN!
Yup, Mr.Isherwood's old car. Now looking very different and painted in disability-blue. I really liked what Andy did to that.

....I wouldn't waste your time with Nissan dealers.

http://www.mjpauto.com Speak to Mike Feeney - aka Mr.F on here. He has access to all parts that are still listed on Nissan's parts fiche for these cars. Most members on here use him.

Moustache dilema....AGAIN!
- Intenso!
Just realised, that's actually a Portuguese car! Not sure on their values there! I know France has some of the highest in Europe, they're a little cheaper in Germany for example as there are a few US imports floating about.- Intenso!
He is asking very high. Z32s in France however are worth twice what they are over here. See then them go for between €10,000 and €12,000.- MOT day...
Least that was the only thing! Hope you get it rectumified!- Replacing VIN plates - anyone done this?
I would agree with that if their market value was substantially higher than it is. However, with their current values and the car being purely an old low value (relatively speaking) enthusiast / hobby vehicle, I am not sure that same argument would apply?- Replacing VIN plates - anyone done this?
 Yeah, black, can you illuminate in that colour? :wack:- Replacing VIN plates - anyone done this?
This is why I asked the question. It's not a part that's listed, but there's probably good reason for that. The very same! Will do!- Replacing VIN plates - anyone done this?
If it's a direct replacement, I can't see it ever being questioned as it'll just look like the one it came with, but see your point.- Replacing VIN plates - anyone done this?
No, it's fine, but I just want a fresh one. They go slightly cloudy over time. I am being overly fussy and just want a nice bright brand new one. I did polish it slightly, but the black print has started to wear back.- Replacing VIN plates - anyone done this?
Agreed, I'd really like to get my hands on an original! :)- Replacing VIN plates - anyone done this?
Found another one here. http://www.vintagsuk.com/ They look interesting. Will ask MJP I think, you must have, at some point been able to get replacement ones, especially for vehicles that had at some point had a front-end hit.- Replacing VIN plates - anyone done this?
I can't work out what your problem is.- Replacing VIN plates - anyone done this?
Yeah great...- Replacing VIN plates - anyone done this?
My VIN plate is starting to look rather aged - I am looking around to see whether anyone has had a new one made up? Can Nissan supply these? In addition, I have come across this : http://www.vin-plate.co.uk/custom_vin_plates.html Anyone have any experiences with this type of thing?- MOT day...
Good luck! I am sure it'll be fine. I always get petrified at MOT time. EVERY MOT it sails though, but it still doesn't stop me worrying!- JaiKai - Full rebuild & Respray
It looks really nice. I do like the kandy colours, for a 'custom' type paint, they're really nice. It's metaflake that I can't stand. Kandy paints are always smooth and pleasing to the eye. Looking forward to seeing this painted!- JaiKai - Full rebuild & Respray
Nice colour! Is that a factory Ford colour? Never seen an RS in that colour before.- rear mudflaps
TBH, you're better off putting them on the front rather than the rear. I did to protect the leading edge of my front wing, but also, it helps protect the rear wheels a little from any projectiles that the front wheels my flick toward the rear. I never went for the JDM ones, I fitted the US versions and only did the fronts. You can barely tell that the car has them, but this is what they look like. - Intenso!
