R.I.P Mr.K - father of the Z car.
RIP Mr.K - such sad news. You have been the inspiration to many and have changed lives forever. May you rest in car heaven! A number of my friends have met him have have echoed the comments about his friendly nature and awesome personality. I'm only sad that I didn't get chance to meet him - it had been planned! http://m.startribune.com/world/293146791.html

Powerzed
It's so awesome that out of all the Z32s in the UK, mine is the closest to Jimmer's LoL! Wouldn't use anyone else!

Targa trim removeal
Ok. You can pull them off, but there's likely hood of damage. The best way is to strip the targas and unscrew the retaining clips from inside. If you're going in for a respray then you're best off stripping them all out anyway. Means you'll avoid overspray on the seals etc.

Targa trim removeal
ie the seals? or The trim tabs or the panels?

Which ones are you talking about? The ones on the panels or the ones on the body?

Reversing sensors or camera or both?

Reversing sensors or camera or both?
Some do! They're not quite as accurate as external sensors, but they do work.

Reversing sensors or camera or both?
Correct! I have reverse parking sensors in my Z. You can't see them, thankfully! They're hidden behind the bumper. Do a decent job for me!

Red Z project.
Why on earth did you fit that 'thing' to the front of it?

Fitting 99spec rear lights
Sounds like what's coming out of my bungholio at the moment. :(

Fitting 99spec rear lights
You need to do the same with the OEM Nissan reel to an extent. MJP can get you the original stuff, I can't remember the price for it though, I think it was close to £25 from memory.

Fitting 99spec rear lights
Sounds like your normal bog-standard silicone sealant to me that has a little more plasticizer in it.....although made of more natural ingredients.

Fitting 99spec rear lights

If you lay it on as it comes off the reel, it won't compress enough for the lights to fit snugly and you'll end up pulling the studs out or inverting the nuts.

Refitting air con
I'd never remove the AC! It's a GT car - it was designed to have those luxuries. Granted, if you're in Scotland, you need to install a ceramic heater, but I like to have some AC when I don't want the tops off! :)

Result !
That is a result! Interested to know where it will be from our discussion.

I'm with Jaffa, I'm pretty sure that started life as an NA lump.

Red Z project.
Mmm. Not wanting to offend dude, but I'd probably have spent some time tidying your car up rather than do what you've done; it looked nice in the first pics you put up. The stance at the back looked/s great! :) Appreciate it's your vehicle, but spending time on stickers and vented nose panels when all the trim is peeling. the tints are lifting etc etc....do you still have the original nose panel? Have a go at straightening that front bumper, or even get a second hand replacement as it looks like it's riveted together, an engine pan cover/support, redress/paint those roof trims etc. :) Just a more productive use of time for your project...? :)

digital dash
Only the Z31 had a digital dash and it wasn't for all model years. Actually, the 280zx turbo had one too. If you look at late 80s top spec Maximas, they also had a digital dash. Unfortunately I think these were only available on US models and as such have a really low Max speed. This would be the closest thing you'd get to 'plug and play'. I do like digital dashes in principle, but the ones you could fit to a Z32 from the Nissan family would make the interior look like this: Your only other option would be to look at using a 6-cylinder Lexus one from an old SC or something. I have no idea what the signal imputs are converted to, but if you understand the schematics, then I am sure you could fit one - but again, it looks really 80s....but better than the Z31 dash.

- I never fancied an S14 .....
Mmmmm, can't say I dig it. I'm not a fan of rocket-bunny kits. All that expanse of nothingness beneath the rear lights. I like the front, but that's only because I like the original. I just don't really know what this is trying to be. I really like the S14. Not the ratty horrible played-out drift scene cars, but some sort of build like this! They look great from the back and the S14a front the front looks really mean and distinctive. [video=youtube_share;QOKsRvzvofA]- My swb fat arse goddies thread.
I'd leave the whole damn car alone!- My swb fat arse goddies thread.
