  1. Mike, I take it you got the holes filled when you mounted the UK bracket to the JDM bumper?
  2. I'd encourage you to junk those old style injectors for new-style/upgraded. Whilst they've been cleaned and now have a good spray pattern, the coil inside could be significantly degraded as many are when they get to this age. Whilst it's all apart, it might be prudent to upgrade/change if you have the funds.
  3. I think you'll find that this is not the case. The European number plate bracket is the same height as the grey moustache. The holes for the JDM bumper sit below this on the body colour section which would not be covered if the Euro bracket were fitted. Example, even with a number plate fitted to the bracket, the holes on the bodycolour section just below would still be visible if fitting this to a JDM bumper: Crude illustration showing where the cutouts would be. They almost go down the bottom of that painted section.
  4. My Grandmother was Hungarian, I wish I'd apply for a Hungarian passport if I could to remain an EU citizen; sadly, Hungary is governed by Viktor Orban who's a right wing tosser, so probably no better off!
  5. Part number is 9621237P00 : coming back as not recognised on allcarpartsfast.co.uk so I'd suggest it's now NLA. Try Nissan, but I'm pretty sure they'll say the same as the sites seem mirrored in terms of part number recognition at least.
  6. Bumpers are essentially the same if you're referring to early ones. The only issue you'll have is that you'll be left with 2 big holes in the bumper where the JDM bracket is secured.
  7. Lovely example and liking your attention to detail with replacing clips with new! Something I've been doing for YEARS! Keep it up!
  8. Those screws are very very weak when they corrode. You'd unlikely be able to remove them with an impact driver and there's no 'head' to grip. If there's enough meat on it still, you could try cutting a slot in it with a Dremel to see if it'll unscrew. You can still buy the retainers new I believe. I have some spare screws, not sure they're silver, but it's all hidden, so olive-drab ones won't be an issue. I'd go back to a stock rad personally. We don't get the heat over here. TBH, even in much hotter climbs, the stock cooling system if in good condition is perfectly adequate. You can get a KOYO direct replacement radiator which is extremely good quality (I have one and it surprised me as I don't normally go for pattern parts, however Koyo is a decent quality brand). Everything will then fit up correctly as it was original intended. Do a block flush too whilst you're doing that to get the coolant system as clean as possible.
  9. When doing auto to manual conversions, if you stick the corresponding flywheel to that gearbox, then nothing additional needs to be done. If you fit a TT gearbox, fit a TT flywheel, same deal with the NA gearbox. You won't need to modify anything, both mount up perfectly and with the correct configuration, the starter motor won't need shimming. The ratios are the same in both boxes, it's just the bell housing that's different and corresponding flywheel. Starter motors are all identical.
  10. You never see bald Japanese men. You never see fat Japanese women for that matter either. Something I noticed when I was in Japan, even the most elderly of gents always had a good barnet.
  11. Yup, they're swapped. 'Green' coloured pumps in the US are in fact all diesel.
  12. Providing the engine is in good condition (good and even compression) and the fuel system is in tip top condition (new high flow high quality injectors and good/new harness), with the correct map/ECU, they can handle 500hp 'ok' although at that upper range (there are quite a few in the US that are substantially over that level) however I'd be wanting forged pistons, especially as we don't get E85 here. It's all to do with the fuelling, even forged pistons will melt at low power levels if the fuel map is wrong, you just have a higher margin for error with a forged piston. You've been on here a decade and you asked whether Jimmer/Powerzed comes on here......that surprises me. Check out facebook for direct contact however PowerZed has its own page.
  13. Thanks guys. Was in Germany visiting family which was nice, came back for about 14hrs and now I'm on another plane half way across the Atlantic enroute to Dallas. Whirlwind visitations!
  14. I wonder who sent it to me. There was no name inside it at all! I have a mystery benefactor!
  15. Not too sure who the first one is from, it appeared last week, I can assume it's from the committee (thank you :))! The other was given to me by a friend yesterday in view of my impending milestone next week! Looks like I'll need to grow into these though as they're a little too big for me sadly.
  16. So far we have around 10 booked up. You have until the 13th of May before the rooms get released. I've spoken with the hotel and those that booked via booking.com, if you've not pre-paid, then I've asked for your booking to be migrated onto our allocation. I'll have a list through shortly of those that have been.
  17. 1) Bigh (Howard) 2) Funkysi (Simon)
  18. Bit of a washout last year although we've had a club stand there the past 4 or 5 years now and generally the weather has been fantastic. Hoping it will be for 2019! I'll talk to Howard and we'll get a thread up shortly.
  19. Everyone who's done so, call them and give them your details. We have blocks reserved and they need the allocation to be filled or known to be filled. If you've booked through booking.com or via their website before we got the block, please let them know your name and they'll transfer over the booking. Or everyone who is in that situation put their full names below and I'll call them.
  20. hahahaahah!!!
  21. I saw this earlier and thought 'wow'. Quite possibly the worst engine bay I've ever seen; it's so bad, it looks like it's fire-damaged.
  22. £267 is the rate you pay based on monthly DD. £255 is the one-off payment. AFAIK, there are no rate increases for 2018/2019 car tax for vehicles registered before 2001 although I do stand to be corrected. Possibly inline with RPI increase and nothing more.
  23. Legnum/Galant Estate VR4 would be my choice in the retro-Japanese camp. Never liked the appearance of the Stagea at all. The Legacy estate is also a decent looking car, but the Legnum/Galant Estate VR4s are a little more exclusive.
  24. So we have 9 so far if Craig changes his to a direct with the hotel. Richard, Gary anyone else booked theirs yet?
