  1. I'll meet you all at Tesco, I'll be travelling do from Somerset rather than with the London convoy. I'd better get some tickets!
  2. oh no....please tell me this is a wind up....
  3. Well they're all going on holiday after today and won't return until September. You couldn't make this shit up!
  4. Full size blow-up of Jon Parham or Russell Floyd?
  5. I’m wanting to get my tank and straps powder coated. I managed to get a brand new guard for it a few years ago (the tin thing that sits in front of it). My straps are in very good condition thankfully, but would like everything refinished. Quite like to get the filler neck re-plated.
  6. This is also very true!
  7. So Teresa May got a standing ovation. Whilst she did try, trying ones’s hardest doesn’t really cut it past primary school. I once went to the chip shop and ordered fish and chips. The chip shop manager worked hard and with great stoicism and handed over my fish and chips in record time. When I opened the paper I discovered that it contained a battered human shite and crispy chips. I stood back and applauded his laudable efforts.
  8. Awesome! Be great to see you Mike - it’s been quite a while!
  9. Sadly, hypocrisy runs rich through Boris’s veins. Mind you, it does with many MPs’.
  10. I’d rather Cameron had stayed in office and none of this pointless time/resource wasting nonsense had happened.
  11. Both Boris Johnson and Brexit are both utterly embarrassing.
  12. Should get my car back on Saturday, dropped off today, will be travelling down with AndrewG all going well.
  13. I’ll save you the trouble..... Gary, you responded to the thread and accidentally closed it! I reported you (see mod section) and Lee reopened it....just like the other day! Do you remember that?
  14. You’re better off with a new one, they’re not expensive. Used ones invariably suffer from damaged threads for the hazard bracket and you’re left with the situation you currently have.
  15. I'll meet you at fleet myself with Andrew if I have my car back in time!
  16. I’d never fit a remanufactured starter motor personally. They’re known for being a bit hit and miss and/or not lasting. I invested in a brand new OEM one. Whilst they’re costly, I know I’ll get another reliable 25 years out of it. I generally try to replace with OEM or better (if available). I’d test it first though.
  17. Looked absolutely wonderful last weekend Andrew.
  18. Sounds like the starter is goosed. You probably have a lazy solenoid. If you’re able to, take the starter out and run 12v to it. The pinion gear should fire out immediately. If it’s getting stuck and is spinning before it actuates then that’s your issue. Does it do it any more or less depending on whether the car is hot or not?
  19. I know Victor and Efrain, I meet up with them at ZCon and ZNationals events which I’ve been going to for quite a number of years. They did ask me about 5 years ago whether I wanted to be their UK distributor. As has been pointed out, sadly the market just isn’t there in the UK. The flip side of the argument would be that if a UK distribution arm was set up, it would create a small market, but knowing the Z32 scene as I do over here and to a lesser extent in Europe that would still be too small (they did have European distribution however that ceased for the reasons above). The work and effort involved would greatly outweigh any small potential. I also thought about doing it for the love of the marque, but I just don’t have the time nor the space - small parts are easy to work with and whilst I have a reasonable sized house with just me living in it, storing large numbers of bumpers and body kits would become a nightmare. I had thought about a unit, but we’re back to the situation of lack of demand and it not being commercially viable.
  20. What an awesome couple of days! Great spirits, great cars and really nice venues! Thank you all who attended, the quality of vehicles is going up!
  21. You won’t be able to check in at the hotel until 3.
  22. All clean ready for this weekend’s festivities. :)
  23. Yeah, £850 is about the going rate. I'd personally consider a brand new 98+ transmission.
  24. Haha! Assume it's 'automobile 1' as in 1st car on ticket.
