  1. The clips break because they get brittle. The clips are also very inexpensive, so you're better off not concerning yourself with that aspect. Windscreen trims are a bugger to be honest. You need to take the scuttle panels out and slide them up so that you can push the very top edge off the clip on the roof section. Then gently pry the trim off. Refit in reverse, however refitting is also patience testing ****. Also remove and refit with the scuttle panels removed.
  2. I can't for one minute think they've been in there since the car was new, but they've probably been in there a while. I would get an aftermarket replacement - A'pexi are generally considered the best, but JWT are also pretty good.
  3. How about I sell the double din and replace with a single din...how about that! :wack: - - - Updated - - - Yes, that's custom made. No one makes one unfortunately.
  4. Pretty neat. I've been wondering for YEARS why people like HKS, Greddy and Blitz haven't brought out a DIN sized boost controller/turbo timer/display unit all in one, rather than all these add ons that you glue to the dash making it look an eyesore. Nothing worse than pods, and controls and stuff cluttering up the dash. It's a shame, as I'd buy a unit if it was a DIN mountable unit that fits like an OEM product that controls boost, displays AFR has wideband capabilities and all sorts.
  5. It's more balanced on yours as it has skirts.
  6. If I lived closer, I'd come and help you paint it Ted. You'd do yourself a HUGE favour if you watched some tutorials on youtube. They'll certainly help you sort your technique out.
  7. They were rare in the first place. I believe only around 100 examples were ever made. They come up from time-to-time but seldom in auctions as they're very much a specialist collectors car.
  8. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/JDM-Nissan-90-96-300ZX-Fairlady-Z-Z32-Red-Silver-Z-Emblem-Badge-Genuine-OEM-/161833832884?hash=item25ae0c51b4
  9. Not on a 2+2. Mine came over from Japan with no spoiler and I really couldn't get to like it. Whilst my 99-spec spoiler's days are numbered, wingless on a 2+2 looks terrible IMO.
  10. Personally I've never liked the SE Nissan nappies. I say remove the bumper extension. Some plain number plates with no borders, graphics or flags, 99-spec rear lights (as they look their best on black cars) and fit either a TwinZ spoiler, series 3 spoiler or original.
  11. Sorry Art, that doesn't look good IMO.
  12. I have one of those too. :)
  13. I have locking collars too, whilst I will do a full subframe rebuilt at some point, the locking collars worked a treat.
  14. Usually I like most old-skool wheels. These however I do not. Sorry, they remind me of these.
  15. I don't understand how any Z gets into such a state of dilapidation. They're specialist vehicles - you'd have pride in buying one and subsequently their upkeep.
  16. ..... http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Nissan-300Zx-Fairlady-Z-Breaking-For-Spares-/381418645786?hash=item58ce52a91a It's missing the tailpiece badges that sit on the sides of the tips. I am not 100% sure as you can't see the main badges on the cans, but this could be a Veilside system - I know there are a few people looking for these.
  17. This one is really old, but very good. I know the guy that produced it, in fact that red Z you see at the start is his, I've been in.....with a monster headache following too much partying at ZNationals back in 09. Username is zeroflake - he's made quite a few videos - but most seem to have been taken down.
  18. I need to do a more thorough job of mine - nice work!
  19. Looks good anyway! Refurbished wheels are that finishing touch. I refurbished my BBS LM as I wanted them to look like brand new! :)
  20. How come you didn't get the faces diamond cut?
  21. Probably! Even though one of them is 6ft under!
  22. The reason being is that 9.5" is pretty wide for the front. You have to bear in mind that you will have clearance issues with the front struts, so you'll have to have quite an aggressive offset. You WILL need the fender rolling and you will have to do away with the arch liner. I also would not recommend ANY solid joints for the suspension components, driftworks or otherwise. If you're going on the track sure, otherwise, stay the hell away. Horrible things for street cars. I ran Powertrix suspension arms for a while and the best thing I did was to take them off. Unless you're going to drag the car round on its ass, stock rear arms have enough compliance and adjustability. You could do yourself a favour and get Nismo bushings (high shore rating). The fronts I'd recommend Z1 Street Upper Control arms and Z1 Street adjustable tension rods. Steer away from those solid joints and Midori type suspension components unless you're on first name terms with your chiropractor.
  23. Gotta look good as they're my old wheels! ;) Lovely dude! :)
  24. You'll have more luck using their forums IMO. Datsun France and Fairlady Z Club France both have forums. http://www.fairladyzclubfrance.com/
