Long summer road trip now planned
A road trip in the Z on the continent is a road trip in a Z on the continent Art and a drive to Bordeaux shouldn't be sniffed at! Thank you though, it's a bit different than the original plan which was going to take me to Croatia and Slovenia, but didn't quite have enough time to do that one any justice, that would need to be a 10 dayer really just so that I could visit both the Lamborghini and Ferrari museums and spend extra time on Italy's Adriatic coast. I've been to the US twice this year and have a boat trip from Denmark to Iceland planned toward the end of the year, so running out of holiday time fast!

Long summer road trip now planned
Last bit now booked. This is the long ferry crossing from Genoa in Italy to Barcelona. Thought I'd get myself a suite on the ship. Looks like that costs more than taking the car! Nice 5 star hotel with underground carpark in Zaragoza (Spain) - looking forward to heading into Cantabria. :)

Red garage UK Queen
If your coolant has ever been left to run bad yes. The rusty gunk will contaminate the valve preventing it from opening under pressure. For the cost, it's a no-brainer. New OEM caps are not expensive.

What did you do to your zed today?
Take your boxing gloves off when you work on your car Richard - might help! ;)

Simply Japanese 28th July - 2019
There's a potential that my car won't be there for the show too. It's in the paint shop the following weekend for some touch up work. If I can get it back the following Saturday (day before the event) then I'll be there, otherwise....maybe not!

Interior Group Buy - an update.
He hasn't replied to a message I set him last week either.

Catalytic converter light
It's just the cat overheat light, they fail (the probes). Most people have either removed the bulb or disconnected it.

auxiliary belt and pinstripe?
Pin stripe is a 9mm graphite grey. Aux belt I believe depends on year and engine type so need to know that. As for the discs, that really depends on how rusty they are.

Temp gauge stuck!?
I think it's the rings too. On the outer edge, there's additional material coloured black, you can see by the shadowing and looking at the MPH needle. It's the black over moulded plastic that's wedged on the dial ring.

So whats this??
Pretty pointless though - it's way too low to be of any use unless you use it as a fog light. I've seen them before, they're a universal fit thing that you could get from places like Super Autobacs.

E55 AMG comparison to Z32
Yup, running costs and parts are substantially more than a Z32. Another Merc fan here, my daily being a W205 AMG-Line. E55 is a great car and under rated. Jimmer works on a few Mercs too, an SL55 and the parts for that (same mechanicals) are extremely high in comparison to a Z32 and the expensive stuff does fail!

What did you do to your zed today?
Thanks Gary although I think Joel's and Andrew's are on another level to be honest! Despite all being painted by the same guy, mine isn't as sharp as the others, might be due to the colour. Shame you're not going to be there!

What did you do to your zed today?
Fresh MOT, not advisories. Happy days. Car running extremely well. Need to do a wheels-off detail for next weekend, there are going to be some very nice examples there I think.

Hard lesson learned!
Sorry to hear Art. Curious though, if your car is going great as you mentioned above and you have a manual conversion planned, why did you buy this used autobox?

Exhaust question
No Tony, what he’s describing is the AIV inlets. OP, you can delete the AIVs. These pipes you describe are the small tubes feeding into the downpipes. The whole lot can be removed. I’m afraid the only suitable location for a Powerflow system is your local refuse site. I wouldn’t fit a Powerflow system personally, they’re abysmal. Questionable build quality from the wide variety of skill sets you get at the various franchise locations, the materials though are a constant and they’re poor quality at best.

T top handle finishers
I’m currently at Chris Karl’s place (ZSPEC) out in Ohio and these are going to be launched soon. Until recently, they’ve only sold US versions which have the key hole, these are now Euro/JDM compatible. I know Howard was after a set and AndrewG, well they’re soon to be released if anyone is interested - let me know.

Magazine 300zx feature
I discussed with him at length on Z32 values when I was the NEC and he said the same thing. He likes them.
