Yup, get 2 things done. Replace the PCV valves and the hoses. You might be lucky. An indication as to rings would be oil vapour pulsing if you take the oil cap off with the engine running. Get a compression test done. Mine used to throw the dipstick out and then threw oil out as well. Melted pistons on mine.

Had the afternoon free today, so got the Zed out of the garage. More I drive it, the more I realise, people just really don't get how wide the Zed is and when at close quarters passing parked and oncoming traffic which seems to swerve out of the way at the last minute as they see this landcrab coming towards them.

I don't generally like the cutouts in the arch kits, but the ones in yours look very nice. They seem to follow some kind of contour.

Take the rocker covers off and have a look if you think it's something terminal. Involves remove the plenum of course.

F&F style isn't a good thing...but that's just my blinkered opinion. There's a chap I see on the way to work every day with the most beautiful R33 GTR. It's not got a massive kit or anything, but does have a set of gorgeous deep dish split rims. It's painted in this fantastic light skyblue, but it has the most incredible, but subtle pearl effect to it. I'm trying my darned hardest to get a pic of it. But I never see it when I have my camera. It sticks out, but for the right reasons. It's the colour I'd spray my Zed if I had the money and was wanting a colour change.

Well, in my little experience, I've never heard of one with a broken cam shaft. Is yours just tapping?

You'll be wanting to take the engine out then to get the heads off then if it's a TT. Could be broken valve spring, could be a sticky valve, could be a sticky lifter. Try an oil change first to see if it sorts the problem out. Cheapest option before dropping the engine.

I know. Sell the RX7 and keep the Zed instead!
