  1. 1/2 of the cars that go to TOTB aren't supercars. Corsas with Calibra turbo engines etc....would have been nice to see a good high power Z there. Unfortunately there's only a small handful of them there and iirc, I don't think Macca has ever taken his up the strip for some reason.
  2. Looks very nice. Wheels look great. :duffer:
  3. ...you got your UK spec rears yet Dave?
  4. Hehe, thought YOU might have done yours. ;) good man.
  5. Look very nice, need to get round to replacing mine at some point. I'd personally get rid of those alloy wipers though. Real blot on the land scape. They are about £100+ though aren't they?
  6. Mine's been going awol over the last week. Started working fine again today. Stupid thing. Need to get some aftermarket gauges fitted over the winter.
  7. Thanks John, although MJP sell them as well as direct replacements.
  8. Luckily for women, you lot get vibrators. We have to rely on visual stimulous.
  9. BTW, facelift lights came in on about an R reg ie, red/cear rear lights and clear front indicators. Id suggest these have been added.
  10. Very slow and will be about 1/5th the fun of the MX5....fuel consumption will probably be higher on the BMW. Not a bad car though. Better built and more comfy.
  11. I'm not actually that bothered. I just worry. Anything that needs replacing for an MOT is only going to be of benefit to the car. The rest of the car flew through. The brakes I've been told are very good...in terms of even pressure.
  12. Thanks John. Where did you get them?
  13. Moreover, can you actually get them? If so and people have fitted them, do you rate them? The steering doesn't become too harsh does it with them? Ta
  14. ...might go for PU rack bushes...
  15. TBH, I looked at what it failed on and totally agreed with the test. The boot is badly split, the racking is moving from side to side and the bearing does sound awful up close.
  16. ...although not on a huge amount. *Both rack bushes (on subframe) were both worn. *Nearside steering rack gaitor split *Nearside front wheel bearing. I'm glad the wheel bearing was found as I'd gone round the car and tested them for myself, but not rotated. All appeared fine, but I had noticed a funny rumbling previous to knowing of the bearing. It never varied with direction, so didn't think it was a front bearing. The two guys doing it commented on how tidy the car was and how clean the underside was. :) Kinda happy in a way...A) that not much needs doing and B) the lightly rumbling has now been found. The emissions were high, although it still passed. I think that's down to a lazy 02 sensor.
  17. Check out the dish on those rims!
  18. YES! :D Can he do one this Saturday? LOL
  19. Depends. If both head gaskets have failed across all 3 pots per side, then no, it won't even stand a chance of firing. Engine out, rebuild the heads, get them refaced and pressure tested as well. Check the condition of the bores too. If you have the cash, might be worth fitting new piston rings, mains/end shells too.
  20. Looking very nice. Nice new ceramic coated pistons. :) What's the purple stuff round the valve seats?
  21. PMSL!
  22. We've not had rain here for about 4 weeks. Not even a hint of a storm. Would like one.
  23. A well loved pillar of the forum that he was I take it! ;)
  24. What's a turpit? ...I think I mean 'turnip'. :smash:
