  6. Trip to Lee Dent yesterday to get a few jobs done so a replacement low mileage uk manual box fitted, new disks and pads up front and an oil change. Also lee replaced a knackered ac belt tensioner pulley that was squealing. Totally unplanned was lee ripping out my cats an replacing the std downpipes with japspeed divorced items and decat pipes and 2 new O2 sensors. Car now purrs like a kitten again so have to thank lee for his stirling work once again and Coopd for the convoy down and nice to see Chris bedzedman picking his shortie up like a giddy kid. Great day great banter top mechanic.
  7. Just be careful with the ride height bud, the side wall of those tyres is very "square" much like my PZERO's all looks well but they hit the return lip in the arch if you are not careful. Had exactly this problem with Zeb the old tyres were Eagle F1's and cleared because of a slightly more curved sidewall so no problem but the Pirellis catch so will change back to F1's when these are done. Looking sweet though going to be an epic car again.

  10. Well shes back on the road, time to give zebedee a well deserved rest so i can attend to various bit and pieces. Still needs a good cut and polish but ultimately ill get her resprayed. Veilside exhaust to fit and the selin dual maff kit i got from Dan. Lots of under bonnet cleaning and polishing needed due to being stood but it will keep me out of mischief for a while.

  14. HHHMMM food for thought there thanks for the heads up Jeff. Non of this advice was evident last time I looked at the subject.
  15. Tape it up so only the outside surfaces you want to clean are visible and be careful blasting. Use a jetwasher to clean and compressed air to blow out the nooks and crannies
  16. Im doing this soon cant see any downs apart from cost
  17. Your welcome buddy
  18. Afraid not Andrew whole area is limited access. I only got in because i helped them with their CAD systems. It a total ban on cameras. This explains the process but pilks kit is far higher tech than this .
  19. The windscreen manufacturing is all done in Italy, they will have a "form frame" that they drape the hot glass over to form the screen. Sound like as Karen says they only have a form for the front screen. They would have to manufacture forms for rear screen and side glass, that would be costly as they would have to 3d scan an existing one than have forms machined. I used to support the Windscreen division at Lathom when I worked there so have seen how they do the whole process. They have an R&D facility at Lathom but only for prototyping, everything else is done in Italy.
  20. Who did you speak to at pilks Andy.....i used to work there
  21. I prefer the bottom ones tom but like Si says the ones you have are nice id polish the rims up and get the ctrs painted shadow chrome.
  22. Sounds like a great mod im going to have a go at this for sure
