  1. Very nice mate. I liked the look of the french zed sight as well. Joint French,UK meet? How bad are the riots in Paris at the moment?? Dave
  2. Been in the hospital for most of the day. They were good actually, hardly had to wait at all. They did lots of x-rays , apparently I've hyperextended my neck in a similar way to whiplash. And the nausea is due to my body not being able to balance right due to the neck damage, kind of like sea sickness (which I suffer from quite bad). Also the passing out is probably from bruised blood vessels or the muscle going in to spasm and cutting off/restricting blood to the back of my brain for a moment. I have to go to a neurologist to check that out furthur this week, but it should hopefully just be a confirmation that everything is ok and that I just need to recover. I'm glad you guys and the missus talked me into going! It feels good to have an expert opinion. Just have to put up with resting/bedridden now, I can't stand wasting time. Dave
  3. Looks a bit horny too! good old french, got the right attitude!
  4. Didn't realise that was so big, here's one the right size Mac. Not bad for a camera phone eh?
  5. Thanks for the advice guys. I've been taking ibroprofen all day and havn't had any more black outs. I get very nauseas and would probably pass out when I bend my head backwards (opposite of the direction it was pulled yesterday). Maybe it inflammed something that is getting crushed when I bend my head back? anyhow going to see how it is in the morning. Probably going to get it checked by a docter if it doesn't change, but seems to be stable at any rate. I've been in positions where I thought I could die before and was scared but this morning truly terrified me, the couple of blackouts I had left me completely dis-orientated and thought I'd broken my neck or something. The paramedic from the ambulance made me feel a lot better after he had checked me over for spine/ bone damage. Dave :wack:
  6. Glad you put a good comment bantambunny! took half ah hour to talk her into it!
  7. One of these is the winner! Miss Royal. Thought we'd better get at least one with a Zed so we've got: Miss Royal - Classy Miss Royal - Sexy Miss Royal - Pornstar Dave
  8. I was going to mention API as well, a garage in Plymouth that was going to do my old Zed gets them from there, its the website I mentioned to you before but couldn't remember the name: http://www.apiengines.com. Really sorry to hear that the ebay one is f*cked to. I really believe that there's no point buying a stock Zed anymore in the belief that one that hasn't been played with is better. They are just too old now. I'd always buy an already modded/rebuilt one now. In perspective though mate, you're Zed IS still one of the nicest and cleanest around so it will be worth spending the cash on a guaranteed reconditioned engine from someone like API or another trader. Don't be too diss-illusioned with Zed ownership, its still a very good exclusive (if a little expensive) club. End of the day they are 40k cars even though the likes of ourselves get them for 4k now. 2k for an engine isn't much compared to the original prive. Dave

  11. lol, happy birthday mate. all the best. Dave & Lissy
  12. prob just leaking pipes ,in which case get smithy shiny fuel lines. also the two bits the lines connect to, one is a pressure regulator i think, forget now but see traders here as nissan are expensive. fuel rail prob not a problem, injectors maybe (lot of cash). ptu's not fuel related but are prone to going esp series 1 so check the symptons.
  13. you'll have a job finding the distributer!
  14. you should have both tyres replaced at the same time really, no point having a nice car if the tyres are uneven and shit. will be outhandled by the fiesta mate! :slap: only messing.
  15. thats odd, my engine feels alot smoother on tesco 99.prob my imagination though
  16. yeah, but not have scotty on calender duty though!
  17. Yeah, Royal Marine Commandos are even tougher, must have hurt myself becasuse I wasnt wearing my green beret  Civvy now though so wont be long before I'm fat and soft! I always worry because I don't really react to much to pain so find it hard to judge if its bad or not. It freaked me out earlier when I kept passing out. thanks for the comment guys Gonna relax for a few hours and see how I feel. Havn't passed out since the ambulance was here though. Maybe the inflammation was doing something weird to nerves in my neck? Dave :wack:
  18. I was going to say that one Rich. I tanked it along there during last summer. Awesome road. Did you notice the bikers slow down sign? obviously a biker road, i can see why. I took some good pictures looking down into Lynmouth from the cliff road, will post them later when I get on my other computer. I then flew across dartmoor from barnstaple to plymouth which was awesome to (it was night and no traffic whole way). Got to plymouth and got done by a bl*ody speed camera doing 39 in a 30 (genuinely thought it was a 40 zone as it was just up the road. Dave :wack:
  19. Went to my martial arts club last night and did some light grappling to warm up. I was in a neck crank and it clicked my neck as I was holding on trying to get out. Quite nice at the time, but was sore after, but nothing too abnormal, just knew I'd have a sore neck in the morning. Woke up this morning and was very sore, felt really nauseas and couldn't move my head. Stood up and went to get a drink of water and was feeling very bad, thinking about calling the ambulance because I was quite scared. Next thing I knew I was coming round on the bedroom floor feeling really f*cked. Called 999 and passed out on the phone to them again. Ambulance came out and paramedic said it was a bad muscular injury in top of neck and that didn't think I needed hospital just rest and anti-inflammatory but would take me to hospital if I wanted. I said the missus would if I needed it later. So now wondering if I should go anyhow? :wack:
  20. What like me in the winter?
  21. Bloody 'ell mate, making me feel emotional. Hope the car gets the right new owner. Dave
  22. If you put your foot down on a corner in a 3-400bhp car with no traction control you're going to spin, end of! Although I can understand retro, I span my Zed on the road from Penzance to Sennen when someone pulled out in front of me. The road has one of the highest fatalities in the area. I know of several people who have died on it. Saying that though, it IS great fun to drive, loads of fast tight twists for about 8miles. Very easy to misjudge though or come into a tightening corner and too high a speed, and unthinkable in the rain!
  23. I had the HKS on the car when I bought it but it was a nightmare in the rain. Eventually the MAF burnt out so I changed. I ended up choosing the Apexi because it had the best filtration reputation in terms of the rain as I use the car every day and need it to be reliable. I'd be interested in knowing the air flow comparison though as its tiny compared to the HKS or the Blitz. Mind you the pipe is the same whatever so maybe thats is more important. Dave
  24. I'm sure somebody's asked that before one time and that the answer was that there's no point. One of the jedi will come on and answer I'm sure. Turbos are designed for particular engines so thats probably why. ie too big equals lots of lag, too small equals less top end. Zeds have two smaller ones to give very little lag but still plenty of power. Try a search. Dave edit: quicker to the mark than me!
