My First Trackday
Nice one mate, great phots to. I'm looking forward to doing more track days. I've got two sets of oem wheels and tyres sitting in the shed ready. I got GTR brakes after doing my first track day. The originals are utter sh*te, faded to nothing after only a few laps. Dave

Classy girl joke
A Chav girl goes to the council to register for child benefit. How many children?" asks the council worker. 10" replies the Chav girl 10?" says the council worker. "What are their names?" Wayne, Wayne, Wayne, Wayne, Wayne, Wayne, Wayne, Wayne, Wayne and Wayne" Doesn't that get confusing?" Naah..." says the Chav girl "its great because if they are out playing in the street I just have to shout WAAYNE, YER DINNER'S READY, or WAAYNE GO TO BED NOW and they all do it..." What if you want to speak to one individually?" says the perturbed council worker. That's easy," says the Chav girl... "I just use their surnames

car smell
I love the smell of the zed, I'm not sure what it is, there's been vanilla trees in both my zeds so its probably that, but it always reminds me of the days in the summer tanking around with the roof off, music blaring.

NZR Virus n firewall protection.. heeeeeelp! FUMING!!
I completely agree with Angus there mate, you should never have to do a low level format and lose everything. You should be able to re-install xp (leaving current directory structure or whatever it says when it asks you about formatting partitions, etc) and still have your data there. You can then save your data on disk or another partition and re-install windows again properly. Just because tech heads at work speak in smokes and mirrors, it doesn't mean they know what they are on about.

newby question
As above for mpg, I used to do very long motorway journeys and I'd get 25mpg on a good day. Now in the towns I get a lot less, maybe 15mpg. For a while I was commuting about 45miles a day 5 days a week and I was budgeting £50 a week. Luckily now I can work from home a bit as my diesel run about died a long time ago! Dave

Miss Z 2006 Pictures
Maybe take the 'pits' comment off though mate. Took me ages to talk the missus into letting me put photos on the net and I would've been gunning for anyone making comments, even though its just a bit of fun. They don't see bloke humour as funny in these situations. Dave

Just Survived Car Crash With My Zx Its Written Off
Really sorry to hear this mate, hope you and the other bloke are ok. Unfortunately I wouldn't bank on it being his fault as you shouldn't have been overtaking in an area with junctions. I did the same thing in a small village a few years back. A transit slowed down without turning off or indicating and eventually I overtook him. As I was coming parallel I saw him put his indicator on and I couldn't brake in time to stop from having a collision. Fortunately my insurance was fully comp and I got the car repaired. Is your insurance fully comp? I guess at your age it would be very expensive. Worth at least pushing the advice from this thread about the throttle sticking to the police, hope you're brakes, tyres etc are good though as they'll pick that up. Dave

police chase vid!
Ha, I've been doing that with the missus Si. The TV isn't hooked up so we don't waste time on that but we just end up on the internet all the time instead!

blo*dy hell, thats 10 times cheaper than my skyline setup, I wonder what difference there is between them. Obviously the discs are very different but I wonder how the calipers compare?

How much did you pay mate? I was wondering about that when I got my skyline ones but I wasn't sure about the bracketry.

NZR Networking Problems
Limited or no connectivity is usually when windows can't pick up an address off of a DHCP server. If you are just networking the computers for file sharing and they both show this you shouldn't have a problem as they will both automatically set address ranges that are compatible and will talk to each other. If you networking to share an internet connection on one of the computers you need to make sure it is set as a shared connection then the laptop should pick up an address from the other computer and be able to use its internet connection. A router is a good way of doing it as it hides your computers behind the routers address and has the added benefit of extra security.Dave
