  1. You'll all get banned by the big bad Mac for Whoring!!
  2. I think someone on here got this sorted with an insurer. They were getting valuations from (Ztech?) and the insurer was guaranteing that amount. With your deal you'll only get the average book price in the event of an accident.Dave
  3. They didn't work? oh well, maybe the drive is dead? They're pretty cheap now I guess.
  4. Do a search as they are always coming up on here. They are part of the breather system, they get clogged up and stick. They are small brass looking valves under the plenum on either side with hoses that go towards the back of the engine. They are a bit of a bugger to get to but arn't that expensive £60 I think for a set of two, you'll probably need the pipes as well as they'll be brittle and crack. You can test your current ones by running the engine and pull off the pipe. If you put your finger on it you'll get a vacuum suck on your finger if its working. Best to change them before spending money on turbos etc.
  5. Too skinny mate.
  6. http://www.driverguide.com Use the username 'drivers' and password 'all' and do a search. Theres plenty for your dvd writer. Dave

Hello mate, welcome to the club. Its good in here! Dave
  8. Blo*dy ell John, Cornwall is definately changing! Once I've earned my millions I'll be back :-). Still missing the surf and beach as much as ever. Hope you're doing well mate, I'll give you a call when I'm down next, maybe take the mutts for a run (your zed not mine haha) Dave
  9. Pull the throttle cable bird so you can see how the bit moves across the breather pipe, it should move freely without rubbing on the pipe. The other thing that can happen is the pipes come loose as they are just placed into their hole in the rocker. Give the pipe a knock into its hole or put some kind of sealent on it that will stick it in.
  10. As above mate, turbo seals are more likely to smoke on putting your foot down. Smoke at idle is very likely to be the PCV valves
  11. Have you considered doing it yourself? I remember it was the first job I ever did on my first zed. Good way of getting used to where things are. Main issues I reckon would be the fuel hoses may need replacing (smithy shiny pipes?), and as many perished coolant/vacuum hoses as you can replace. Also the 4 big pipes that go into the plenum may (probably will!) get damaged from removing them if they are old.
  12. Good to see the choice available, does my head in trying to find a tesco or shell all the time.
  13. yeah come on, lets see her ! :-)
  14. Hoping to finally get to one this time!
  15. Very tasty mate, nice phots.
  16. A tentative yes from us as we really need to get out more, but never seem to manage!! Dave and Lissy
  17. See s-tune mate. Dave
  18. pmsl, FFS mate! heh, have you got new pcv valves in that sig pic?
  19. You need a boost controller or boost jets to up the boost, you need an ecu re-map to keep the fuel ratio correct. More boost equals more air into the engine so you need more fuel too. You should look at the whole package if you are doing this though. You'll need a filter to flow more air, good aftermarket exhaust to chuck more out the back, etc, etc. Obviously its an endless money pit...
  20. Hmm I think it will look silly and drive horribly (IMO!)
  21. Its not the pads or discs mate, you need to put silicon grease on the backs of the pads. It does the same thing as shims. Should do the trick esp if you have standard brakes. Performance brake setups often make more noise though, theres often a tossup between noise, brake dust, hot and cold performance and the different compounds for pads, etc.
  22. Must admit though YOUR wheels really are the best I've ever seen!
  23. I'm in southborough mate, just up the road. Give me a pm if you want to meet up and have a look at mine sometime or me to have a look at yours. I'm working quite a lot but will sort something out. :nana2: Dave
