  1. Hi, As above, He's (hopefully) brought some wheels to JAE but I'm not there! so hoping to find someone who is coming back in the Kent direction. PM would be great if you have it. Thanks.
  2. Ta Mike but he wants to know which one it corresponds to above in the diagram, they both say B (black) whereas one has the silver bands and he doesn't know which is which. He's putting the MAF into a skyline.
  3. Bl*ody hell mate, have you posted in the main section?
  4. http://www.driftworks.com/forum/technical/39131-z32-afm-wiring-help.html As above , one of the drifty guys needs to know which wire on the MAF is just black and which is black with silver bands on. It just says two black ones in the manual: I've got to go for dinner :nana2: If anyone knows it would be great if you can post on there or let me know and I'll post later.
  5. I sort of did Si as you know, Commando to Cisco networks is quite a change lol! You just need to show an aptitude for the skills they require. Most places struggle as much for people with the right attitude as they do for the skills so are willing to train up the right person if they have a 'can do' attitude. This is why (generally) forces people are so well received into civvy street for technical roles. Employers know that even if the person doesn't have the experience they will put there all into learning and getting things right and finished.
  6. What did you do instead of the MAF mate?
  7. What did it have instead?! Check out the traders section MJP do them I think. Or main stealers I guess.
  8. I remember seeing that one recently. What was the score with it 300zxtubs? what have you replaced if you don't mind me asking?
  9. There was a big accident on the way to the Dartford tunnel on the M25 last weekend. There was a car cut in half with what looked like a couple of dead people in it (RIP). Plenty of other cars were also crashed but I couldn't noticing that there was also a stretch Hummvie (sp?) limo thing facing the wrong way in the midst of it all. Stupid vehicles on what are already over-crowded roads.
  10. I stuck a post up like this a while back after I watched 'an inconvenient truth' (carbon footprint, co2 this that and the other. Soon after I watched the other documentary which basically pulled it to bits and showed how co2 FOLLOWS temperature rise (as opposed to our emissions causing it), it then told how one volcanoe would chuck out more Co2 emissions in a day than all our cars, how the COWS (!) cause more Co2 by farting, and most of all how the ocean gives off more Co2!! The whole thing was a big eye opener. I was skeptical to begin with but the more you look at it the more it makes sense. I don't think we should be ransacking natural resources (mazda has a hydrogen rotary engine in testing at the moment :) ), and we need to look after the planet and what lives in it but the Co2 thing seems way off the mark from what I can see. I also think the disposable nature of modern cars is a lot worse than us driving around in 3ltr sports cars; which are half the capacity of the average car in USA and many other places! My new Zed is my daily drive as its economical compared to my Rx7, and much the same as my old 5 series bmw, also fortunately I don't have to drive to work 2-3 days a week.
  11. Omfg! Thats unreal. Glad you made it out, that looks horrific!
  12. Does anyone have a helpful pictures showing what the different bits are? My central locking has stopped working and my drivers door is jammed shut. I got some oem solenoids on the off chance but the garage say its an aftermarket (clifford alarm) one that has two contacts one pos the other neg when locked and they swap around when unlocked. Is this the 'actuator' that is described above? Thanks guys and gals!
  13. Can you elaborate on what you said mate as I'm not sure what you mean? I got some second hand solenoids just in case but it turns out the ones in the car are the aftermarket ones and not the normal oem ones. Apparently they have two pins and one is neg one pos when locked then the opposite when open. Are the actuators a different piece?
  14. Check out this footage of the park and the other vids. There's not a huge amount from the bowls but you can see how sick it is :)
  15. That would be cool. I'll pm you next time we are driving up that way. Probably pretty soon as the parkis amazing!
  16. That plenum looks like a damn good maintenance idea! Would make so many jobs that much easier.
  17. A bloke did it in a Mazda hatchback MPS thing (!) did it in 8 mins 39secs recently lol! http://video.google.co.uk/videoplay?docid=286869679229297523&q=nurburgring%2Cmazda&total=34&start=0&num=10&so=0&type=search&plindex=0
  18. A Zed meet skate sess! I've been at a new skate park in Saffron Walden today. Mental stuff; three concrete bowls and loads of street stuff. One 4-6ft bowl with pool coping, another with normal coping and a feck off deep vert bowl (eek!) I managed to 50-50 it today but I'm hurting! That video is at Skaterham (in Caterham!). Yes its an old church. Sessions on Tuesday night are always good :)
