Anyone with very wide wheels? 2 x Bridgestone S-01 285/40/17 4-5mm+
Cheers Z32King, that pretty much confirms it as someone on the mazda forum has just said the same thing.

Wouldn't want to be your wallet mate lol! Hopefully got someone on the mazda forum who uses the same size wheels as you. He's going to stretch them for track days!

Oh well lol! Hopefully someone will be able to use them. I'd use them but I don't think they will fit on my 8.5 inch rims?? any idea? I only got them for drifting.

best trolley jack for low cars?
I need to get a low jack as well. Is such a hassle having to drive onto wood/bricks or use two jacks :(

Anyone running rear rims that can take 2 x Bridgestone S-01 285/40/17 ? I won them on ebay by accident (like you do! was a last minute mistake bid). They've got about 4-5mm on them and are £20. They are in NW London so need either pickup or post (courier is £15). I don't want to mess the guy around but don't think they are any use to me!

Help needed with buying a Turbo timer
Remember you also need a harness to connect it. Tub timers are pretty cheap anyhow so you may as well by a half reasonable one.I've had an apexi one knocking around for a while but never bothered fitting it as I prefer to just slow down towards the end of the journey, that way you don't get heat soak like you might if you ragged it and then left it idling.

Drag Question..
No offence mate but a 13.8 may be pretty good for a Zed but you'll get murdered off the mark by a lot of things out there. Most of the things you've been up against probably don't know how to launch.

this video explaines, why 200's are better drift cars
Awesome video! So much smoke lol! Zeds look so mean when they are decked out for track/drift.

All cars try to correct themselves when the rear end is out. You can just let go of the steering wheel and it will straighten itself up in the direction it was sliding. The Zed understeers naturally (as does an S13) whereas the s14 is neutral (as is the Rx7). You can lighten the arse end of a neutrally balanced car by just letting off the throttle during a corner, the arse swings out and you then put the power back on to hold it there and control it. Hence why the S14 and Rx7s drift better than Zeds.

Burned out zed
Good way to kill a speed camera as well! I saw one up in flames in Bath with a tyre around it, nice sight!

check this bike drifting out
Wow, thats amazing. I havn't seen anything like that before. Chunk is doing some awesome drifting himself as well :)

What have i killed this time ? ?
Not sure if it was this one, but I think they were removed on later models (or maybe it was the interior temp sensor?). I guess the external one would give you an idea of intake temperatures which would affect your power.

Rotorstock 4
Hi all, Doing my bit for http://www.mazdarotaryclub.com as they organise Rotorstock. Just wondered why there doesn't seem to be any interest on here in one of the biggest jap car weekends of the year? It has pretty much everything: take your car down the strip, drift what you brung, show and shine, etc, etc. Is anyone planning on going? I would have thought it would be a club stand job? There's a sticky in the national events section with all the details, links, etc. Cheers

First Zeds were made in summer 1989 IRC. I'm pretty sure my First Zed was from then.

My latest dyno graph for evo 2 rs
Great results - thats some serious POOWWWAAARRR! Very impressive. How does it compare to other peeps on the EVO forums? are there many people with that sort of power?

Got a second new Z !

Please Help!!!
Boost gauge not working is definately a walk away scenario as it could mask many other issues, potentially very expensive ie more than £2k to repair! The stock gauges have a rep for being inaccurate, but in the case of the boost gauge you don't want to chance it if you don't know what the issue is. What Schumi_not says above is not an exaggeration. A new clutch will total £500, I've got receipts for £2700 from when my turbos were replaced/reconned, not to mention 'normal' running costs of the cars such as £150 per tyre (at least 1 set all round a year, poss 2 sets of rears which are more expensive), etc. Running costs are way out of line with the costs to buy a Zed so be very careful what you buy.
-
99 spec how much?
Completely agree. I'd certainly consider paying 10k for a 99spec. All you want straight out of the box, easy life and no ripping into it doing amateur mods/paint jobs etc.

What do they weigh Karl?

foot pedals
I disagree with you there Si. I find it very hard to heel and toe the oem pedals without slipping off every now and then. My feet are size 9 so not giant but I find I nearly always have to use the ball of my foot instead of proper heel and toe in most cars but the zed doesn't feel right doing it either way. I had some Razo ones in my old Zed and they were great. They brought the throttle/brake closer together to make it much more usable. I don't know if Jap/Uk are different? I always thought the average Jap car had pedals too close due to Japs being midgets!, but my UK spec feel too wide apart for me
