Fair point scoops. I try to never put cr*p tyres on the Zed but they still shouldn't fall to bits as they are rated, just rubbish grip. I'm actually driving round with a puncture repair in one of my rears at the moment, doesn't exactly fill me with confidence! Dave

I've been using Pirelli P zeros on mine, they were pricey but perform very well. I was considering trying something else next but the P-zeros seem to work very well in the wet compared to the potenzas I had. I was thinking about the potenzas as I had some of the older ones and they were very good. I used them on the castle combe trackday and I was well impressed. I've heard the newer ones arn't so good? I guess for the winter I'll stick with the P-zeros but might try something else after the winter when it drys up. Dave

It's interesting if you look on the how things work website and look up the veyron. It talks about the actual amount of fuel and air that you physically have to burn/flow to get that amount of horsepower. Its an eyeopener when looking at the claimed hp figures that get thrown around the performance car communities. The veyron can give a Maclaren F1 a 10 second headstart and still get to 200mph at the same time and then stay there cruising! I doubt many of the big power jap drag (or other) cars could do that without blowing up after 20 secs (IMO cause I'm only guessing!) Dave
