yeah i use compressed air too cleans out the dust not too bad. a good microfiber and some brushes cant go wrong

Finally after over a year managed to get my mitts on a series 2 climate control ECU so finally got that installed, now to fix all 5 fault codes xD

All of the wire all the way back to the resistor and the loom are hot too though. At work today I'm sure I'll have some time to take it apart and look lol Thanks

Talking about the engine viscous fan and the heater blower motor. Was tinkering with this hot weather lol

Yeah tbh I think the viscous fan is working, it's fine at idle and low speed. Only when I receive it or when driving dose is get loud. The fan dose come.on yeah but only when unplugged. Normal driving it stays off. Think I'll be taking the fan apart and checking the resistance of each winding in the motor and greasing the bearings. Seems to me it's drawing too much current

is it normal for the radiator fan to to sound like a bus? only dose it in hot weather so assuming its just the viscous locking up second would be, while cleaning leaves and other rubbish out of my air box i noticed how hot the wires for the fan had become, enough to be almost uncomfortable to hold and discolored the connector. worth taking it apart for a clean? many thanks Jay

hey guys, tried to replace cables today but my replacements are completely different (brought from a 2+2) are there different cables from any year to another?

iv got that costco one (seeing as i work there) they're really good.

ah ok didnt know they were 1ohm xD so imagine running them from the headunit would't be any better? acording to the specs the kenwood unbridged impedance is 2ohm but still no ideal i guess. really not bothered with how much work will need to be done. i gotta take all the rear boot trim off anyway to find a rattle D:

so my car came with fitted with the Bose speaker boxes (seems to be original due to the looms for the amps) but all amps in the speakers are now removed and were wired to the head unit. i rewired them to run them from a kenwood x650D amp. and its been like that for 3 years now and it's "OK" i know this has been covered before but ill be buggered if i can find it, just wanted to see what peoples opinions would be on replacing the speakers and the options i have? maybe fitting a crossover and tweeter? (i know the rears are ruined as water has got on them)
