  10. A very close friend of mine has just recently had the front taken of his GT4 (by a mondeo) and to be honest i thought it was great fun to drive, makes a nice change from scooby's and evo's coz you dont see many of them around. A few of my friends have FTOs and for the money they're nice cars - see a few on here http://www.hyeline.com/import_portfolio.htm but they are quite common now
  11. Mark's right, the reason you pay so much for the genuine article isn't just for the name, when you look at the quality of the product you can tell them apart instantly, plus when u come to fit them there is a big difference between the 2
  12. From past experience i found that the oil caps are fine...BUT........ the rad caps dont release the air pockets properly - if u press the spring on a standard rad cap and the one off ebay u'll see the ebay cap has a much harder spring. Be careful guys coz a bloke i know put a 'nismo' rad cap off ebay on his zed and it ****ed up his water pump
  13. sounds good to me, i'll try and get hold of mark see what he says
  14. Now now mark, no need to get sarcy!!! I was only asking because a lot of cars hav the cats seperate from the front pipe! :-P
  15. Mines the same, if its cold or raining when i fire her up first thing she smokes a bit but once she's warmed up its fine. One thing thats bugging me though, when its been running for a good while, if im stuck in traffic or stopped at lights now and again i get smoke coming up past the drivers side window - baring in mind this is the side the exhaust runs up coz its single exit, any ideas?????
  16. A friend of mine makes custom exhausts and even he has said that doing the front pipes on a ZX TT is a ******* of a job!! Another thing, unless im mistaken, aren't the cats part of the front pipe ??
  17. I must say that im very impressed with the Federal's ive had on the back of mine, for a budget (ish) tyre they are very good in both the wet and the dry and they are lasting extremely well!!!
  18. Of course i mean you aint gonna get a 200bhp gain just from changing the exhaust bore are you. Perhaps with a standard engine it might not make a massive difference but as soon as you start tuning the engine thats when it comes into play.
  19. Fortunately i hav a friend who is in contact with a few of the big power companies in japan such as hks, jun, TRD, Trust and Trial. They say that to get big power out of turbo cars u need as close to zero back pressure as possible so the engine can get out all the waste gas and get fresh straight in. The kakimoto system ive got on mine is one of the best power givers on the market and thats coming from the experts in japan. As far as nissan are conserned when they designed the car they had to consider noise levels, emissions and economy. So there we go (hope i dont sound like i no-it-all coz i dont mean to!!)
  20. if you work it out they do around 18mpg average - TT's that is i know mine will do about 250 to a tank

I have to be fair, since i past my test ive had quick cars including an Evo, a Scooby and had a supra for a while but when i first drove a Z i was hooked - had to have one - nothing compares to it when they're done right!!! I'm 20 now but if you're as dedicated to getting one as i was then you dont think about all the other costs that come with it you just put up with them!! After all, u own a Z! :D :D :D
  22. yeah i know that too lol do the jap ones measure in bar?? coz they run about 0.7 bar standard dont they ?
  23. In most of the TT's ive seen or been in they've all had boost gauges that go from -14 to +14 (the standard in dash one im on about incase u didnt realise) the one on mine goes from -7 to +7 why is this???
