one thing's for sure, this slk 230 kompressor i'm using is a nice well built classy car, but its NO FUN AT ALL! it just encourages me to buy something more exciting the more i drive it!

hi guys. i got 6500 for the car, minus excess (400 quid) i get 6100. If I want to keep the car they will charge me 25% of the settlement (1625) which leaves me with 4475. the car's rear wheelarches have started rusting too, as has one sill, and so over half the car will need paint and bodywork, thats before actually repairing the car. i've also lost all my no claims bonus so insurance is a ******* now. all in all a very expensive job if its to be done to a high standard before insuring. the car also had a few mechanical niggles and so maybe it was the right time to get rid of; it would have turned into a money pit. i'm going to take the 6100. its been emotional but i have had to think with my head not my heart, i *think* ive done the right thing. i'll prob get something newer, shame there are no 1999/2000 twin turbo zx' about. i'll still be around.

not from the command line, in the run box from start

basically on the Pc, if you go to start>run then type in \\192.168.2.3 and press enter you should see the resources available on the laptop \\192.168.2.2 will show you the resources available on the desktop from the laptop.

go to start>run then type \\"ip of computer you are trying to access" so something like \\192.168.0.2 the window that opens will show all available resources normally, including printer etc.

the best thing IMHO is a network interface for the printer like a HP Jet Direct. That was both computers dont have to be on at the same time.

thanks paul! i might have to take you up on that diagnostic offer!! i am thinking of an SLK32 AMG POSSIbLy, not enough money for a 350 or 55AMG! in the trade *sometimes* the 32AMG goes for a resonable price. otherwise i might call upon my dads old contacts to see if theres one in singapore for sale that i can get a COC for.. but its pretty unlikely. one more thing, how are the old CLK 55AMGs? are they reliable, built well? they are lookin pretty reasonable pricewise these days
