Covent garden area accomadation
agree with the above comments, its going to be expensive in covent garden, and pretty hectic too, best bet is to go out a bit and commute in. even harrow isnt a bad commute.

HID's DFT official view
i think its time to start cleaning your headlights and putting high power halogens or something like that... the 99 specs wont be left levelling either i think...

New daily driver
excellent!! i still havent replaced my zed, i'm tempted to get another one, but part of me says move on... :(

New daily driver
nice car! it must drive a lot better than the old slk, which looked nice but wasnt a sporty drive at all imho. i havent driven any new slks, but my question is, if its actually as good as the press says in that the drive is a lot more sportscar like and the handling is good, do you think you will use your zed even less than you do now??

Merc CL500?
Hi guys, i've been looking at CL500 mercs lately, the w215 shape (outgoing round light model). Do any of you have ownership experience of these cars? whats the build quality like? reliability? anything I should look out for if buying one? THANKS!!

And i thought the ZX value was getting low
and its a nonsense tiptronic.
-
And i thought the ZX value was getting low
its most likely a base model import despite the 18" rims, and i think the value is about right. i have seen UK 03 65k mile GT pack cars with FNSH for 12k.

ZED prices falling?
i think a good UK spec will still fetch good money, like my old one did with FNSH and no rust. i think the shabby JDM ones tarnish the market here... you know the ones that come in dirt cheap, shabby and low auction grade that some importers make a quick buck from by selling to people who want power for peanuts.

99 Spec ZX's
interesting thread! as some of you may know I had a 99 spec lookalike zed which I wrote off... since I havent been able to decide on a suitable replacement! i would be interested in a genuine 99 spec car and I've been looking into ways of getting one, i was thinking of importing a twin turbo and doing a one off noise and emissions test but havent got the balls to take a chance in case it doesnt pass... so lee youre thinking of getting 99 spec zeds just when they are just 10 years old?

new GTR is really a Z32 successor
have to say i do agree.. i have always thought that the new gtr is z32-like; both were purpose built coupe platforms with v6 twin turbos combining class leading performance and high quality interior designs. wish i could afford one! i think newera have put an ad on their site listing them as starting at circa 50k OTR.

Anyone want a '99 300zx?
thanks mark, so the z32 99 spec does pass euro emissions test standards on paper, i didnt know tbh. i still dont have the balls to bring one in! lol
-
Anyone want a '99 300zx?
basically you need a model report to import a 99 spec z32 and as its been mentioned before there isnt one. you can comission one to be made but it would cost a lot of money to be done as the car will need to undergo a number of tests until it meets the correct euro emissions for 1998/1999/2000/2001 cars, and could include the need to make an elaborate exhaust like the one needed when importing an r34 gtr. the problem with this is that it isnt viable for anyone to spend that kind of money to make a report for a car that, lets face it, hardly anyone will buy. there is however, the possibility to do a one-off noise and emissions test afaik (for cars without a model report) but no one has the balls to bring a 99-spec car and try that out incase it doesnt get through!! i looked into this a couple of months ago and i too, dont have the balls to import something that could cost tooooo much or end up being an expensive ornament.
