  1. I am hoping to be there, if my tuning ever gets finished... taking an absolute age so unsure. Fingers crossed [emoji1696]. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. Ollie got in touch recently, I sent him lots of pictures and he said much the same! Lots of change and getting there bit by bit [emoji846]. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. @sumshiftyguy hope you can attend. Am sure everybody would love to see your uber rare Z. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. All good for me so count me in. Look forward to it [emoji3] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. Although you can’t buy the ones that go with the rear windows, unless you buy the whole window I believe. I bought some Kuruma Z copies for the rear windows but they weren’t the best match so the bodyshop just restored my old ones with some trim oil (think duck oil? he said). 6. Yeah like Black Zed says, they’re not that expensive, even the genuine ones. Compared to the targa rubbers and other trims, they’re the most reasonably priced tbh. For longevity I’d replace them for new whilst they’re still available. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. When I had my belts replaced, I remember this happened to me. They were tightened up again soon after and the squeak never returned. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. New 3” front pipes made by Infinity Exhausts to replace the 2.5” previous ones. No wonder Jim recommends them, they do know how to make a pretty exhaust! Very happy [emoji846]. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. The doc has a few specific random parts on there like my spoiler and CZP replica headlight foam, so been meaning to remove those for the purpose of clarity, leaving just the Nissan OEM body trims. Been on my to do list that I haven't got round to sorting yet! Will do though soon as more and more people seem to be needing it.
  10. Hiya, the senior members will advise you re. photo uploading as not sure if you need to be a premium member or not. If you’re after any of the body trims, targa rubbers, windscreens trims etc For a 2+2 LWB, I’ve got a document with all the part numbers. I can email it to you if you PM me your email address. Can also send you the links to websites that I sourced from ??.
  11. Aww thanks so much, really appreciate it mate. You’ve got her blushing now ☺️
  12. My Z came with Kakimoto exhausts which are honestly one of the best sounding exhausts I’ve heard on a Jap car. Twin exhausts 3”. A bit noisy in town driving but in any other circumstance especially when you get on it, they sound heavenly and make the car TBH. The quality and welds are like artwork. I prefer the look of quad exit exhausts like what Joel and Richard have but for outright beastly noise, can’t beat the Kakimotos. Highly, highly recommended. Just not sure if you can get them. I know Aff68 got a new set over the last few years maybe. Here’s some pics. Some pics are from before my underside refurbishment so ignore the orange bits and dirty chassis - that’s all a distant memory now. Front pipes have just been replaced with new from infinity exhausts (not shown in pictures). Not got a sound clip@sumshiftyguy but you’ll hear mine when we do a south meet up hopefully end of August. I’ll dig through my service history, find the cost and update later on. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  13. Loving the freshly painted plenum, balance bar, valve covers and some new hardware/bolts. Just what the engine bay needed. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  14. Engine is now in and running well reportedly! Forget the beastly power and fresh engine, one of the best jobs done is sorting out the AC [emoji7]. Expansion valve was at fault and replaced. Fully refurbished compressor fitted. Jims AC guy has been round and fully commissioned it - gone are the days of dreading traffic on a hot day, sitting in the green house like interior. Greg is going to remotely put a base map on so she can be taken to get an MOT and run in by Jim, then off she goes to Greg towards the end of July. In the mean time, trying to sort getting the whole front end covered in paint protection film and rest of the car ceramic coated. Shame I won’t have her back for the best part of summer but ah well, should have back for mid August, so not too long now. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  15. Happy Birthday mate, have a good one [emoji16][emoji3060][emoji512] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  16. I’ve seen them get recommendations on the forum quite a few times so assume they’re decent. I bought the Dewla Design decals from Z1 because I was buying some other bits only available at Z1. Wouldn’t hesitate to use these guys though. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  17. Been so damn busy the last couple of weeks, I didn't have the chance to contact anybody. I've just emailed a brief and photos to both Topaz Detailing and Bellissimoto, so let's see how the quotes stack up. I've asked for a full front end PPF and ceramic coating the full car. I may ceramic coat it myself depending on the quotes. Will update either on this post or the project thread, once I've heard back and made a decision. Thanks for your input guys ?
  18. Must have been the covid inflation of pretty much all cars, especially decent cars, that helped push the prices up from the bottom of the curve. That is so cheap for what you get, granted it will have pricey early model problems. Love the shape of this era Astons. Don’t like any of the new stuff - they’re all AMG based nowadays I believe? Nothing wrong with AMG, just not very Aston Martin like! Smart move buying the best example you can get! I tend to do that with my cars too and always pays off. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  19. I’d be keen to go to this next year too. Quite a wide variety of Interesting cars to see.
  20. I guess I’m greedy, wanting a beautiful beast haha. Stone chips p*ss me right off and after a lifetime of having average paint, I thought this is the one to make perfect ?. I’ll be driving mine like you, a lot and too fast ?. Anyway hopefully PPF is the answer to keeping it in good nick.
  21. Thanks for that - will check them out. I’m down in sunny Brighton so only hour away from London - will check these guys out. My cars at jimmers until end of July so may even chat to their Bristol branch. Your Aston looks beautiful btw - one of my favourites along with the DB9 and Vanquish.
  22. That’s great, cheers for that, gives me somewhere to start. I’m sure I’ve heard of Bellisimoto actually - just looked him up and wow yeah he does some fantastic work. Now let’s see what I can afford [emoji51]. Yep definitely need to do a meet up over summer. Tom (TheRealNips) lives down South as well, so we should all do a meet up once I get my car back in early August. Look forward to seeing your beautiful Z in person. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  23. Such a shame I didn’t have my car ready. Hope you enjoy the trip and look forward to the updates [emoji3]. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  24. Well that’s a relief! Thanks so much for this feedback, seems to be opposite to what I was told. Would you mind sharing the company you used and roughly how much you paid for that service on your F-Type? I noticed from some posts you live near Andrew - I’m from Brighton n Hove so not far from you guys. I’d probably check out the company you used and consider using them. Removing bumpers etc for a nice clean fit sounds ideal to me [emoji846]. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  25. Hi All, After my respray having been completed, I’m eager to get my front end covered with paint protection film, as my car will be no garage queen, it will be used a lot over the summer months. As far as I’m aware, PPF is CAD designed for each model of car - well for common cars anyway. The film is then printed in that shape to then be applied directly to the vehicle. For uncommon cars such as ours, I believe the companies cut the film to shape on your car. I will absolutely not have someone cutting a film on my paintwork! as I’m worried the process will nick the paint. Has anybody applied PPF to their cars and if so would there be a file saved with your supplier so they can pre-make the shapes for my car? If not, have you heard of PPF being cut to a cars shape successfully without damaging the paint? Thanks in advance. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
