New Era imports were always good. Not sure if they are still about though :s Its not economical to impor a single car ata time. its around £2,000 a container, ideally best to use an importer, who will source a car for you - and import them in bulk, thus reducing your costs. just an idea.

ridiculous, people like that shouldnt have cars with anything more than 90bhp! I put my foot down earlier taking it from 30 to 70 in seconds, and decided no need to mod the Zed, its faster than you would ever need it, and its limited still. thats just an insane accident, hopefully some people will learn from it. But I doubt it :( I feel for the families who have lost loved ones due to the ignorance and stupidity of some over paid or spoi spoilt fool.

if its the central locking rod, would it not still be able o unlock the drivers door?

nothing major but irritating more than anything: Went for a drive today, got out the car, went to lock it, and the lock on he drivers side doesnt work anymore. It was working, then with no warning, bang it stopped. i turn the key, no resistance, nothing. Still only turns half way in each direction, but it doesnt touch the locking mechanism. The central locking still works from inside the car. It wasnt sticking at all prior to stopping working. Guessing it has just detatched on the inside. How do I remove the door card to check it. and worse case scenario, can I swap it out with the lock from the boot or passenger side? Like I said new to the Zed, so no idea on any of it. Any help, will be appreciated, pics even better :D

Anthony, you say S14 conversion? as in 200sx S14? what you doing exacltly buddy? I have totally stripped and rebuilt an S14 and its SR20DET before. if it is reffering to that, I will try to help in anyway I can.

There is loads of us in ASG. Shame you dont have the zed anymore Murt. Will you not get another in the future? I would assume the position would always be open for you..... I was Reg rep on an old owners club, for another car, meets were dead in the area, so I arranged a different way to arrange meets. The first meet would be done by a poll, everyone would put their idea / location in, the one with most votes would get the first meet. out of the people to attend the meet, one would be picked out of a hat to arrange next months meet, and then again, one of the attendees would be picked a random to arrange he next meet so on so forth This way, locations truly vary. And more people get to attend. We also did a giant summer meet, where it was he north meets south in the midlands. car club with only 300 active users, had 64 cars turn up. whish was really impressive imo. But there is much more than organising meets to be a Reg Rep. Hopefully someone can step upto the mark. (I vote Jimmer king of knowledge) I dont know enough about the Z in general to be a rep, im not a long enough standing member, and not even subbed yet. I wouldnt be up to the job for Rep here. Hopefully when we do have meets though Murt, you can still come along, meet up with everyone. See the Zeds, maybe it will make you want another one lol.

pic 3 looks like you have a normal pot of paint in background, and pic 4, looks like a paint roller? did you paint it with a paint roller? any close up pics of the paint work?

awesome. well that car wasnt sprayed, was about two weeks old when I took that pic :( DS3 is the same, I complained whn I was collecting it, and was told its on every car. pi55ed me off seeing as the car cost nearly £18k and was a cash purchase

when I say orange peel, I mean really light dimples in the paint, only seen in certain lights. Partners dads 2010 Focus RS has it, our 2011 DS3 has it, partners dads brothers 2012 Range Rover and 2011 Evo has it. As did his old F430 Scuderia which he sold and replaced with mk2 Escort lmao. Im just really fussy. here is a sample of it on our old 2008 ST500: Top of the door its really obvious, plastic side strips have no orange peel. But if you look at the reflection of the floor on the side, you can see what I mean, its not like a proper clear mirror reflection, as its not 100% smooth.

Anyone able to recommend a top notch resprayer in the south west, who is reasonable on price, not cheap as I dont want a cheap job, but I dont want to be ripped of at the same time :P any samples of work done would be appreciated too. I would also like it to have a deep polish after paint, so it is totally smooth, with not even the slightest "orange peel" as seen on new cars, and resprayed cars.

Mines going for show (Stock Concours) but its toooo far from it at the moment to even consider it.

I saw a Range Rover with cool plate yesterday too. it was a square plate written out as: XS R8 I thought, hmmmm Cameron should have that, as he likes excessive rates.
