Lmao, well the drive was great, but now I bought the car, I need to just wait a cuple of weeks to sort tax and insurance, arranged 7 days cover wih NU for "test driving purposes" and tax runs out end of this month, once I get paid, will tax and insure her. then saving for full body respray in original AH3, as niggly swirl marks, bad job at painting the black strip on the phase 1 front bumper in body colour AH3, as well as poor touch ups on wing mirrors and a bubbling rubber spoiler. My misses starts work in two weeks, so we should have double income from that point, and I can start restoring the fairlady.

I dont have to fight with it, but, i can feel it if you know what I mean. may have to dith mine too. how much is it? lol

Never thought about it like that :P didnt go to quick, its still limited, but took it upto 80 or 90 ummm KPH of course for any do gooders out there lol. At which point it started closing on the RS slowly but surely. But his RS isnt really run in yet. On way to collect Zed, he said, "Just clocked 3,600 miles" so needs to loosen up a bit. I think it will be faster than the Zed in time. The Zed feels really light on the rear under full throttle, even on a straight. I kind of expect it from RWD, but i mean REALLY light. would that be the HICAS? Thanks for that. Plus rep to you :D

Went there, Paid remainder, Drove back to in laws farm, loved every second. Sat in the barn for now, it is *%&$ing fast, kept up inlaws MK2 RS on A303, couldnt of took it though. Now I have a question....... When you hit / go over 100kmh, it beeps, constantly till you drop below 100kmh, whats that all about how do I stop it? Belts were all done 2 months ago, which I didnt realise. Got receipts too :D

o, that kind of makes sense, except all our "static" speed cameras around here have been decommissioned. I saw leaflets at local docors surgery looking for volunteers to help improve road safety in the area. Pic like the one BigC posed above lmao.

I want to get the job, so I can sand at the end of their road and cath them on their way to the supermarket lol. Its hard to stay under 30, I would of thought hovering around the speed is fine. your obviously not showing any disregard to the law. need to allow for slopes / hills etc whereby your speed is bound to increase a little.

Just been to town, 30 limit, and two grannies were there with their notepad and a speed gun. It was handheld. No Tripod, doubt they could hold it with no movement whatso ever, to give a true reading. But I saw them jotting down my number plate, I didnt feel like I was doing over 30, was pretty much spot on when I looked down (about 32 max) - I tend to watch the road more than the speedo, as I like to drive with due care and attention, and normally have a pretty good sense of speed. Anyway, what I want to ask is, if they say I was over the limit, no matter how marginal, would I get a warning or a penalty? I wouldnt of thought a penalty could stand up in court as to be honest, a couple of old biddies, doing voluntary work with speed guns, have to be little hitlers to do it in the first place. Cant imagine the accuracy being very good without a secure, stable stand / tripod. Thanks for any advice in advance.... Ryan.

technically an Auto gearbox costs more than a Manual, and Auto box options on most cars is at a premium cost. Although most people here would preffer a Manual, there are people with Auto only Licenses, and people with limb troubles who can only drive Autos. I went with an Auto, as it was the best all round car I could find at the time, to me it didnt matter if it was Manual or Auto. If I ever end up with gearbox issues, I would prob swap it out for a manual instead of getting the Auto sorted. But i wouldnt let the gearbox be the final decision on the car I was buying if that makes any sense? The odds of finding same spec, same mileage, same condition, same history vehicles with opposite transmissions would be slim to none. There is a much bigger pic than the gearbox alone. If they were the same price, my misses would go for the Auto, I would go for the Manual. its solely prefference. I saw Manual vehicles in the same price range. But preffered the one I finally choose, which was an Auto.

My cousin owned the original Kitt a few years back, him and a friend bought it beween them and imported it from the states. Old video player in the boot and everything lol. They sold it about two years ago. made a little profit on it, which was always he plan when buying it. I dont like him though, bit of a *cough* if you know what I mean.

So I think its agreed. None of us would buy that GTR. Or any R35, as its highly priced in a competitive market. you could get a mint NSX, a used ferrari or Aston Martin for stock R35 Prices. granted, if you wan a stock car thats good on the track and on the roads, you wont gt better for the money. But come on, rather go prestige all day long. or even get old school R33 GTR - LeMans Ed. or the R34 V-SpecII GTR. and have so much change to play with.
